New Release Date: August 24

Does this mean that the game is available at other retailers on August 18 or 19th since I don't have Gamestop here in the country where I live?

the game is avalible for release in other stores, but if you are not in the u.s. u cannot get the game. you will have to order it from like amazon or something. the august 24 date is just the united states

In my city, Gamestop bought out the company that owned the other game store, which is why they ended up with two in the mall. Why they didn't just close one down, I do not know.

They have bought out pretty much every other game dealer EVER in the US, though.

I'm thinking it's more likely that they were giving a date to get fans excited and all that, and then couldn't meet their own deadline.
THAT, or the game sites were just making guesses as to when it would come out-before there's an official date, but it's known to be currently worked on, that's what they usually do. =w=

o_o Why do you guys have so many Gamestops and yet there isn't one anywhere NEAR my house except in a Mall. Well, there is one that is outside a mall(THANKFULLY) that isn't TOO far away. (And better yet the Employees are 10x better.)

Also, not EVERY game company really pushes back on their release dates. It's unprofessional and the more professional ones actually only delay rarely. It happens, but not with EVERY SINGLE GAME. Like look at Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft. How often do big name publishers like them push back?

They're always hit and miss. Sometimes they're helpful, and other times they're like, "whaa-?"

Gamestop has pretty much a monopoly on the video game retailer business thanks to their to get exclusive pre-order deals and whatnot. The people who get games fastest though, are the manufacturers. Then whomever get's the shipments faster. It's ACTUALLY possible to get the game on Shipping day however through Amazon. Just prepared to pay and arm and leg for it.

And yes, I am aware of Natsume's inability to keep to their release dates. xD It's actually won them a few Vaporware awards.

I'm planning to get GB either on play-asia or amazon. I doubt if our local store will have the game on the release date. Oh well....I have to pay extra if I want to get the game in one day.

Can't wait till 2014 when they'll probably finally release this game in Europe. Hooray for importing!
