Then again, we cowboys don't mind a good burger, but real men drink their coffee black... ma'am. /tips hatCandace+gale=<3 wrote:Lol! New York and Nevada are oppisite sides of the continental Unites States. Stupid Gamestop is going to be like McDonalds soon. Every store, only a mile apart. (Or in our case, less than 30 feet)
Didn't Nintendo push back SSB?

Exactly, which is what pisses me off the worst.LexyJenrex wrote:The game will be full of bugs, glitches, typos, and whatnot even if they are delaying the game. You guys know Natsume better then that. x3 Sides the game has gone gold so it's done. They aren't making any revisions.
They probably underestimated how long it would take to make copies again.
If they actually didn't have problems even when it came out it would be one thing, but they have a bad track record of pushing back games time and time again AND being full of bugs/glitches.
So there's NO point....

Well come on guys, it's only another week. I mean we are going to get the game. Its just going to take a little more time.
and that places like Amazon is still August 17th?
Does this mean that GamesStop is the only one with the August 24th push back date?Anonymous Fish wrote:Yeah, the game has already gone gold, which means it has been shipped to the places that will sell it. It's not Natsume's fault, it's Gamestops. D:

Eh, no, I didn't really have any other way to put it...but I'm pretty sure all the companies that will sell the game will release it on the 24th. It is just taking them longer than they though to make copies of it, and ship it to the stores. I know I'll sound like a moron for asking this-but what's Vaporware? |D;;LexyJenrex wrote:Gamestop has pretty much a monopoly on the video game retailer business thanks to their to get exclusive pre-order deals and whatnot. The people who get games fastest though, are the manufacturers. Then whomever get's the shipments faster. It's ACTUALLY possible to get the game on Shipping day however through Amazon. Just prepared to pay and arm and leg for it.
And yes, I am aware of Natsume's inability to keep to their release dates. xD It's actually won them a few Vaporware awards.

Or to quote from it specifically:
The most infamous video game example would be Duke Nukem Forever which has been in development since 1997 and still has not been released.Vaporware is a word used to describe products, usually computer hardware or software, that were not released on the date announced by their developer, or that were announced months or years before their release. Application of the word usually implies a negative opinion of a product, and uncertainty that it will eventually be released. The word has been applied to a growing range of products including consumer electronics, automobiles, and some stock trading practices.
Duke Nukem Forever has drawn a number of jokes related to its development timeline. The video gaming media and public in general have routinely suggested several names in place of Forever, calling it "Never", "(Taking) Forever", "Whenever", "ForNever", "Neverever", and "If Ever".[61] The game has also been ridiculed as Duke Nukem: Forever In Development, "the longest game ever in production" and "an elaborate in-joke at the expense of the industry".[67]
