Well, they don't have translators or programmers working on the sprites. They probably had one guy working for a few days to a week on it; the rest of the localization was likely unaffected by it.

I don't mind the change. It doesn't really affect anything in the game itselft, GrB is now less likely to offend parents of Latin American children, and now I can take Raul, Enrique and Diego.

Seriously though, why not call them Alejandro, Roberto and Diego, just to keep the rhyming? They're still obviously Latin American or Spanish.

Japan is super xenophobic and tends to relentlessly make fun of races (in fact there were cases of them still doing the black face comedies.) they also view mexicans as how they designed these characters. I think it's more of the fact they are incredibly...solitary towards the world but themselves. It's not like they go out of their way to offend it just...happens? Idk how to explain it.

About the Asian doctor stereotypes etc, they are, but they weren't blatantly offensive like the Mexicans with farm tools who fix your house and stuff like that. But anyways, the new designs are cute so I have no idea why people are flipping out.

The Asian doctor hm stereotype isn't that common [Jin is the only recent one I can think of], and it's not offensive at all; if anything it's flattering. :/

Even in that case, they still have to pay that guy. I really, really doubt he'd do that for free. And no matter how much money was used to get the job done, it seems like a waste.

It's really hard to tell with you these days.

I personally like the change they look more human. They looked goofy before... there design was.... not pleasing to the eye... they look like wet backs and I didn't like it that they thought all Mexicans look like that. now they look normal as they should just like every other human. yes there are alot of stereotypes but that was one that just erked me.
