it is said that if u step on ur crops, they will decresese in value. if u just walk, will it still ruin the crops or is it only when ur running?

Running over something and walking over something is both stepping on something.
There are little paths between the crops that you can go between that you can go through instead of having to walk over them.

Running over the crops causes them to flash red, but walking on them doesn't. I don't know whether that means they aren't damaged or not. Running on them doesn't seem to cause all that much damage anyway.
