Now now, this is why we're all writing FAQs and stuff.

I have the storyline listen in my sticky up top, but here goes:

At the start of the game you are seen riding your horse over the mountains. There are lots of animals running around, and about halfway up your horse almost runs into a group of foxes, gets startled and you get thrown. You get knocked out, and come to to find mayors from both villages have come to see you. You can then choose which village you would like to live in, depending on your play style (Konohana is geared towards crops, Bluebell like animals).

There's then a basic tutorial, blah blah blah. In a day (or two) the Harvest Goddess will appear and tell you that once the two villages were connected by a tunnel under the mountain, but they couldn't agree on food, their styles being so different. Eventually the fighting got so bad that the Harvest Goddess got mad and sealed the tunnel until they could come to an agreement.

Your goal is to reunite the villages through use of the cooking festivals. The more the villages get together, the better friends they become, and you can unblock the tunnel slowly.
