Pros's and Cons of TV

Since the game has been out for almost a month i think it's time to talk about the pro's and cons of this game.

Pro's :
- Lots of dialogue.
- Random events.
- Interesting characters.
- Going on dates.
- Characters don't just teleport from one place to another.
- Reverse proposals. (Too bad no girls do it.)
- Requests.
- Different outfits.
- All the new stuff! (Alpaca's, bees, etc.)
- Alisa FINALLY mariageble.

Cons :
- Important requests only appear on the first day of the month, would be better if they've spread it a little.
- Requests get kinda boring after a while and B quests and higher are too hard.
- No wedding outfits.
- Boring festivals. (4 cooking contests in a month?! *sigh*)
- Walking to the other town takes too much time...(Especially in winter when there's almost nothing interesting to forage..)

The cons are just minor annoyances and the pro's far outdo them. IMO this is the best portable HM so far!

Let's not forget that snazzy Tunnel system :D

Add one thing for cons: - not so many recipes. (or you could say most of the recipes requires crop from Konohana xD)

For me that choose Bluebell as my first village, we don't really have much ingredients ready for cooking :(
Since Gonbe doesn't seem to unlock more seeds, and most of the recipes requires different kind of crops.
Sometimes I have to buy food from Howard just to enter cooking contests,
especially on salads and soups, everything require crops --"

I second the important requests. I hate waiting for new season just to get important ones.
Why cant we upgrade our house whenever we please? :(
Now Im stuck with the non-upgraded barn because Airin kept on giving the Tunnel requests twice in a row

Pros:

- nice graphic + good-looking characters
- nice music
- animal's hearts grow fast
- many dialogues
- dating
- nice heart events
- requests (so you have something to do)
- cool fish catching
- pretty festivals (the music festival + fishing festival)
- people do not teleport from one place to second
- we are able to befriend new animals (weasels!)
- many places to unlock
- changing weather

Cons:

- the annoying music during dates (oh c'mon! What will be next? A pink unicorn flying around?)
- 80% of requests is damn boring and hard to do. The characters still ask for some cooking dishies. I'm not going to cook for all people in the town! The orange requests are awesome but the rest if just bleh!
- mysterious friendship system. Talking and winning the festivals is better than giving gifts? Only the bday gifts work well.
- no more lop ear dogs
- Annoying owl + crazy cricket - why can't we have nice and calming night sounds?
- no more greenhouse ?
- the characters don't wear wedding outfits
- my kid grows too slow
- annoying house music
- no TV
- I can't speak to the villagers at the festivals

My only cons is the wedding scene and the birth of your child scene. Those are the only two. The reason for the wedding scene is that you have a church and yet even if your living in Bluebell you still get married in the mountains. It kind of doesn't make any sense of why you have a church then. Then a birth scene it just made me go "meh". I'm not being a nostalgic freak or anything. It just didn't do anything for me. Also, I was kind of disappointed when birth of your child happened, and then you go on with the rest of your day. Unlike past games where you had the child born and the game continued the next day. I guess what I am trying to say is that it felt competely rushed. Like when a child from The Sims is born. I guess its just me and how I am feeling about the scene.

Pro's:
  • Pretty good selection of bachelor(ette)s
  • So far the cooking system makes me happy; it has a skill level, but we can guess recipes ourselves. Perfect. ♥
  • Irrigation. Luvit.
  • Can go out during hurricanes
  • Tons of crop species
  • I like tea. 8D
  • Different clothes
  • Request system is nice, I hope they keep it
  • Storyline goal is existent, but not as obnoxious as in previous games
  • Lotsa cooking ( this is probably just me though xD )
  • Kid has three stages, and they don't move on too fast
  • Good system of caring for animals; the touch one in HMDS got tedious after a few seasons...
  • Plant vs. Animal Town system; you can focus on what you like best, which is awesome. And better, you can always move to the other town if you want to try something new.

Con's:
  • One crop per seed bag
  • Reverse Proposals are only for a couple characters
  • Quality decreases over time; a little too realistic for me, I can't horde items anymore 8d
  • No wedding outfits in game
  • No rival events until year 3 or so
  • No super-hard or secret spouse to get; Alisa, Sage, Micheal and Dirk don't arrive till later, but none are really hard, per say

So far I'm really likin' this game. ♥ Once I've gotten fluent in Japanese, it may even reach FOMT-level in my heart.

The thing about a reverse proposal is so the boy proposes to the MC girl. the con about that is that michael, dirk, and kamil don't have one.

Biggest con: Having to hold down the L-shoulder button to run.

I'm old. It hurts my wrist after awhile :P

That actually sounds pretty cool to me, actually... I like the notion that people like you because they talk to you...
But then, I'm just reading about the game, so maybe that's a pain.

I liked watching some cool shows in FoMT/MFoMT. They made the game more realistic. In TV we have only radio and it informs you only about the weather :/

Me too! It was the perfect way to end the day, expecially since the episodes progressed each day!
I still recall the story of the princess being kidnapped by the demon.
I do miss the old quirks like looking at your TV at 4:44 AM since 4 is the unlucky # in Japan.

How could i forget that one?! That seriously is the biggest con, took me around 1 in-game month to get used to it and my hand still hurts.

Oh yes, I forgot about the L button. It's really annoying.

I discovered if you do the orange requests, the FP will grow faster. I always do them for Lico's uncle and he already has 4 flowers. I have never ever given him any gifts and I speak to him when I see him. I help Gonbe too and he has 5 flowers.
Yes, speaking to them is very important! I speak to Gonbe and Lico's uncle and they have more flowers than Jessica. I sometimes do the requests for her too but I don't talk with her much.
