Whenever I try to talk to Charlie in the shop I don't get the option of using my stones or making accessories. I've checked that I'm talking to him at the right times and I had the options on my previous saved game (I started a new game), so have I not done a requirement or is my file corrupt?

Are you talking to him twice? Is he behind the counter? And it is any day but Friday? All those things would effect your ability to use his services.

Have you gotten a wonderful stone or an orichalc yet? Until then the options don't appear, you just talk to him. Otherwise, refer to what Alyx said.
