My fishing rod is broken!

I can't catch fish. I recently got my fishing rod blessed, and now whenever I try to fish I can't catch anything. A while ago, I caught a Fish L, on a whim. And I've caught about two Fish Bones. Most of the time when I fish, I get the , press B, but nothing is caught. Do I have to hold "B"? Press it super fast? I think when I caught the fish bones I waited about one second to press B. Help!

Hmm.. Well, I've never had a blessed fishing rod...
Never heard of this happening before XD;
I don't think pressing faster will help though. Sometimes you just don't catch anything. Maybe you've had a bad round of fishing?

I'm also thinking that MAYBE because the fishing rod is blessed, it has a higher chance of catching the more expensive things like Pirate Treasure, and somehow has a lesser chance of catching common fish? [[weird explanation, yeah...]]
I'm not sure...
I'd really chock it up to be bad fishing. Fish in the early morning. After 11 or noon, I find it's pretty bad anyways.

Fishing in the ocean is pretty good. I now that you can catch fish easier at mid or late afternoon but not so much the early noon. Fishing in the town rivers is pretty suckish and winter makes it worse. The ocean is definetly your best bet. Make sure you charge all the way.

I could never catch a fish with a blessed rod. I think with a blessed rod you can only get trash, pirate treasures in summer and fish fossils in fall.
For catching a fish I loaded the rod only up to mystrile.
With a mythic rod you can catch fish again.
