i've been going for doctor, easiest one, i know. shut up. so, i have him at a green heart, it's winter and i've been bringing him white grass, milk and sometimes wine. i can't seem to trigger the orange heart event, and this has been going on for a good half a month. (i got him to a green heart in 3 seasons, i am quite proud.)

I don't recall an orange heart event. I think you mean yellow heart event.
Anyways, here its what the site says:
This event can occur on Friday, Saturday, or Monday between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. As you walk in the door Elli tells you that the Doctor's appearance has been strange lately. She has seen him thinking deeply and she can't seem to talk to him.
Go speak with Doctor. He is surprised that Elli is worried about him. Doctor says he has been thinking of various things today, like his patients. He thinks that people feel uneasy around him and he has been thinking how to make that not happen anymore. If you suggest that it's good to have and open heart (option 1) he will agree with you. He says it's wonderous that a person's troubles go away when they talk about it. You have made him feel a lot better.
Have you been going on the right days?

To trigger the yellow heart event, follow the steps above, if you have the docter at yellow or above. That includes yellow, orange, or red. If you have him at green, you cannot tirgger it yet.

ah, yes. i mean the yellow, but also. yes i have, i've been going every day.. even wednesday, when the clinic is closed - for gifts that is.

If you do get it to yellow, you can then trigger it, but you have to have the other 3 heart events (Black, Purple, Blue) triggered, have you done that yet? If yes, just raise it to yelloow and you can trigger the yellow heart event no problem.
