What Do You Think of Each of the Marriage Candidates So Far?

Thanks for the tip :3 I usually give him Mint, since I use Chamomile for chiiz or mayo. Llyod is the one I can't manage any +500 gifts for yet X3. But I want to get and plant a tea tree as soon as its available, so that should help some. He seems to like every tea that exists.

I think I like Freya more than Karen because Freya really seems like an Onee-san office girl to me, so I feel like she might give me good sisterly advice and things X3. I never got the impression that Karen was any older than any of the other girls, just, you know, kind of a booze hound XDXD.

Sorry if I came off as mean about Ivan not being girly X3 I was just perplexed. I also think Angelo would make a good bachelorette. Have we had a lady artist before as a bachelorette?

I'm actually quite surprised... I almost always go for the special bachelor(ette) in the games, but this one, I might go for the normal ones.

So of course my first through was I would go for Schmidt/Amir and Kagetsu/Emiko. But now that I've met the others, I am really liking Enju/Antionette a LOT. She's aloof, but not a total jerk like the others, and she's rather poetic. But obviously I'll have to wait, since I always have a girl and a boy MC, if I will go for Emiko or Antionette. Plus I've never wooed a more solemn character, so I'm really tempted for her to be the one. XD

For the men, I was surprised in that I really, really like Dirk's personality. I thought he would just be a little annoying kid, but he's actually very charming and cute. I now see why he won the Japanese popularity contest.

Angelo has an adorable laugh though. He seems like he will be one of the "I only talk about one thing" characters however, so I am still withholding judgment.

So first impressions: Antionette and Dirk are who I am going to woo. (But I may save Dirk for GB, because he looks adorable in that one too.) But I'm definitely excited to meet Amir and Kagetsu. (Plus Amir just looks so unique, you know?)

I actually like them all, and I thought I wouldn't. Lloyd is actually willing to talk to you (instead of a certain cowboy who always just tells you to gtfo and drives me insane), Ivan is nice (but perhaps a bit bland?), Daisy is adorable with her hearts after her dialogue <3, Freya is very pretty and mature (again might be a bit bland for me though...), and Sherry is adorable, but I don't think I'll marry her, just get her as a "best friend".

Basically... I'm actually having trouble deciding! And normally I know my favorites asap...

By the way, are there relationship rivals? Just judging by what you all have said it sounds like it. Can they get married/have kids?

^Kinda yes and kinda no. It's like in MM where they'll have rival heart scenes, but will never actually get married.

Ah ok, thanks for the information! On the one hand, I like seeing rival events/kids, but on the other, I like taking my time in pursuing the others, and it's especially nice when I don't have to guilt trip feeling like I'm keeping someone from getting married. XD

Speaking of rivals, one funny thing I've noticed is that people's favorite bachelor and bachelorette are often a rival pair. XD

Unless someone is a fangirl/fanboy of a certain character, and automatically hates their rival for "Stealin my tru luv!!!!11!112!!!"

But yeah, I like both Lloyd and Sherry a lot. I wouldn't mind if they got married, although I know they can't X3. But at least I don't have to worry about Freya shouldering in on Ivan.

But with the rival events in other HM games, where the characters then do marry, I think it can encourage you to not make friends with characters of your own gender for fear they'll steal your boyfriend away XDXDXD. This happened to my good buddy in IoH. She was just basic friends with one of the girls and courting the cranky cowboy dude, and then they up and got married and she was all "!!!!!!!!!!!" XDXD.

Is the message in Harvest Moon not to trust members of your own gender? XD They are all bird dogs, clearly!

I hadn't thought of it that way! More life lessons learned from Harvest Moon. Give the people of opposite gender random stuff every single day, and avoid the people of the same gender like the plague. XD

I like his house too! Especially that nice porch/dock... But... That giant statue of Felix kind of disturbs me. I mean think about it; how is he going to get a thing that big outside his house? And why he is carving something that hard to move in there, instead of wherever it's supposed to be set up (presumably somewhere outside where people can see it). I donno, I love Angelo, but something about that giant statue just screams something off to me...

Maybe he wishes he was manly like the mayor? :P (Don't worry Angelo/Agi, we love you just as you are. Oh btw, someone mentioned a girl painter; there is one in RF3, an elf, Dahlia, I don't know of any in the main series sadly though...)

Also, that's an interesting note about the rivals. XD I don't know who is who, but given the example that certainly seems to be the case. Then again I don't dislike anyone in this game, which surprises me.

I really like Freya right now. I love her personality. Although, I also like Sherry. I think I'm going to go for Freya but I can't really say.

I really like the marriagable characters in this game since it was a difficult decision to make for me and I'm still not 100% decided. Well for me anyway.

Before playing, for awhile I thought I'd be stuck between Lloyd, Ivan, and Amir. I settled on Amir after thinking it through :P I haven't met him in game yet but I hope he's cool because I'm still going to try for him! But from what I've seen in game, I really really like Dirk. He's not an obnoxious kid, he's cute and funny and nice~ I'm also much more fond of Angelo than I thought I'd be. I don't really like Ivan but I haven't given him much of a chance. I tried to like Lloyd but so far he's just "meh".

As for the girls, I haven't really paid attention to them in a romantic way. Before playing I loved Emiko (like Amir, I still haven't met her, but if I like her I'll probably go for her if I make a boy character). I thought Antoinette was a total cutey and the others were just okay, though Daisy looks adorable. Now, Antoinette's personality is kind of annoying. I'm still willing to give her a chance though :P I haven't seen Daisy much in game but she seems nice enough. Sherry and Freya are alright.

So in summary, without having met Emiko or Amir, my favorites are Dirk.. and none of the girls. But I haven't looked at the girls romantically yet so IDK :P

that being said! lmao, i. idk. the only ones that appealed to me much were ivan and lloyd. and amir, kinda. lloyd became my favorite. angelo didn't appeal much and i felt like a pedophile with dirk.

ivannn ;w; he was a real sweetheart and gentleman okok. he is a bit dense, but i think he's like that because he's more situated into the role of a parent ( for his bro, of course. ) so he's not really focused ON THE GIRL WHO GIVES YOU GIFTS EVERY DAY. ISN'T OBVIOUS I DIG YOU, JUST BE MY BOYFRIEND ALREADY. uhh, that being said, lloyd was definitely not as tsundere as i thought, but it's still okay! he kind of comes off as the independent big brother. he cares, but he's not going to be fawning over you every second. :> like letting the sparrow fly on its own? idk i can't explain lloyd ok. angelo is pretty sweet too. he kinda reminds me of ivan, but more free and more dense. he's only at purple heart so i don't know him well though. dirk is not the pedobait i thought he would be. he's actually very sweet, and i wasn't sure if i should marry him, ivan, or lloyd. orz. he's always very energetic and happy, so cuuuute. but i can never find anything he likes. B| haven't met amir though, so i got no input on him.

i don't have much to say about the girls, since i haven't made a male file yet, but i'm not really liking antoinette much. idk, she's too pompous for my taste. freya is okay, but she's very well-rounded ( basically, i find her without too many noticeable traits or faults ), so i'm very interested. daisy and sherry are cute, but i like daisy more, derp. incredibly excited to meet emiko though, i think she's adorable. ///

THAT BEING SAID, i don't know if i should make my second file dirk, lloyd, or emiko. :la probably not lloyd, i think he's a cute couple w/ sherry, sooo.
