What Do You Think of Each of the Marriage Candidates So Far?

For those who have the game, what do you think of each of the bachelor/ettes? Have you found yourself rethinking who you were going to marry, or are you happy with your original choice?

I'm playing as a boy, so I know a little more about each of the bachelorettes than the bachelors, but here's what I think, nonetheless:

Bachelorettes:
Freya = Karen
Antoinette = Dia. She has the best black heart event of all the girls
Daisy: I don't talk to her very much, but she doesn't annoy me as much as I thought she would. She strikes me as being more like Katie (who I like) than Maya (who I loathe, and was worried she would end up being like)
Sherry: She's the type of person who knows everyone and will interrupt a conversation with you to talk to them (as evidenced by her black heart event). I hate that type of person. The second (yes, second, this happened twice) time it happened during the event, I said "Sander [my character's name], just leave. She obviously doesn't care about our conversation enough to pay attention to it"
Emiko: Haven't met yet, but after Freya's purple heart event (which I won't spoil, but needless to say, she said something that filled me with delight) she'll have a tough time beating her. I'm still going to wait and give her a chance before I marry Freya, but...

Bachelors:
Lloyd: I honestly don't know. The first description that comes to mind is "Vaughn, but less of a « Sheep Squeezer »", but that's not really accurate. The oddest thing is, I talk to him and give him bugs almost every day, but I still don't have a firm grasp of what he's like
Dirk: A child. Still, I find that aspect of his personality more charming than annoying. I might marry him when TV comes out in English (just not in this game, because I still loathe the female MC)
Ivan: Boring
Angelo = Gustafa
Amir: Haven't met yet

Bachelorettes:
Freya = Karen

Im totally going to marry Freya, even if she just stalks your bazaar stall and doesnt buy anything

I was really surprised when I met most of the marriage candidates in game, because they were so different than what I had expected!

Freya- I thought she would be more snobbish and rude, but she actually seems to be friendly and warm. Also, as people keep mentioning, she stalks the MC's bazaar stand. XD
Antoinette- About what I expected, Dia crossed with Luna.
Daisy- Also kind of what I expected, bubbly and cheerful. Usually I'd like her, but her voice drives me kind of batty. ^^;;
Sherry- I'm the most upset about in-game Sherry. From her descriptions, I expected her to be the kind, motherly figure like Elli or Celia, but she turned out to be closer to Maria, in a know-it-all kind of way. She's also, like you said, a socialite with her nose in everyone's business. Sherry, what happened to you? ;_;
Emiko- I haven't met her yet either, but I'm looking forward to it! ^_^

Bachelors:
Lloyd- Agreed, this guy is hard to figure out! I expected him to be obsessed with his business and a bit standoffish, but so far he seems kind and father/older-brotherly. That is, giving you advice, and joking that you're not working hard enough. I didn't think I'd like him, but...that smile~ <3
Dirk- Definitely like a little kid, but more mature in a way. He seems nice, like an adopted little brother, but not at all marriage age. o_O
Ivan- Girly! XD I'd thought it since I first saw his character art; I can't help but think of Ivan as a girl. (Sorry, Ivan fangirls >_<;;) He also seems similar to Will from SI, with the manners and composure.
Angelo- Not quite as hippyish as Gustafa. o_O Also about what I expected, he seems sweet, but a little...bland? I feel like they took the artist thing and made that his primary/only character trait. I'd like it if he had a little backstory, because he seems so cheerful happy-go-lucky all the time. >_<;;
Amir- I haven't met him yet, but the whole prince thing sound cool. ^_^

Ivan is kinda dense. Got him to purple heart today and got. " Ah. You're here for Dirk?"

... No. I've talked to him today already. xD man.

Llyod: ... I dont know what to think about him. He gives off a stand-off vibe but he's cute. During the flower festival he asked who I planned to give flowers too.

Angelo: one of my favorites so far. He's just so adorable. <3.

Dirk: He's funny but I doubt I'll go for him

Ivan is cool. I like his voice alot and it's really... cool!
I thought I would really hate him but he's okay.
His black event was horrible, though.
It's basically

Dirk is adorable! A-DO-RA-BLE~!
No, wait. He's adirkable! (insert canned laughter)
Anyhoo, I love him, he likes cats and his black heart event is the best out of the four.
It gives you insight of what he likes. I totally saw him as a dog person.
BUT I WAS WRONG.

Lloyd is okay.
I really don't care for characters like him.
So yeah. His black heart event is plain.

Angelo is such a hippy.
But he's a artist and that's cool.
And his voice make him sound like a girl.
His black heart event was boring.

Antionette is so smug.
And that's adorable.
I like how she gets all awkward when she talks about nature. Ha!

Daisy is um.... who?

Freya is so cool.
I love her voice and she is surprising not a biotch! (oh snap)

Sherry is so meh.
I like her design and I like how she is sociable but other than that, whatever.
She might get better, though.

I like Sherry XD I don't care if she's always running around in everyone's business. I still think she's cute. I don't like characters like Elli generally. Wait, correction, I just don't like Elli, or Karen either, really, so when people equate one of the new characters to an older one I sometimes scratch my head, because I think Freya's reasonably charming, but I don't like Karen. I think I just don't like her design or her premise. My favorite Harvest Moon girl ever is Celia, and then Lyla and Nina. I'm glad the mayor's daughter isn't a librarian. I have never liked any of the HM girl librarians XD.

I think Antoinette is very cute and also hilarious. I actually didn't expect to like Daisy, as I expected her to be a bit more stuck up, but she's just cute and flutterbrained, so that's fine with me XD.

As for the boys, whom I'm actually courting, I ended up liking Ivan more than I expected. I expected I'd like him, but I actually sort of like him more than Lloyd, who I assumed I'd marry, but he's really not as tsundere as I expected, especially hitting on Sherry like he does XD. Dirk is cute and I give him frogs and beetles, but I'm just buttering him up so he'll let me into his family. Angelo is nice, but pretty bland, I agree. I chat with him, but haven't had much interaction with him otherwise.

I've met Kagetsu/Emiko, she is really sweet. She can be a little clueless on things (but its mostly due to the outside world). I'm currently courting her.

Freya also tries to steal Ivan from me. D:< I dislike her with a passion. She just gives off this vibe that I don't like... I dunno.

On my current file, I'm playing as a girl and I am going to marry Ivan.
He's a blue and Dirk is at purple right now!

If I ever get around to playing as a boy, I'm going for Daisy.
I like her the best so far.
Freya = EVIL, imho.
Emiko = I haven't unlocked her yet so I dunno~
Sherry = She's second, 'cos I like her as well.
Antoinette = 3rd choice

I suppose...I won't be so quick to judge with Sherry. She was my favorite before I started playing, and she doesn't even have one heart yet, so I really don't know much about her character. ^^;;

But, like she keeps saying (over and over and over): "First impressions are very important!"

I wanted to marry Ivan first (before I played the game), but I changed my mind when I played the game. I will marry Dirk on my 1st save file, and Angelo on 2nd. I don't like any bachelorettes though. Hehe :)

I've really liked Ivan's heart events so far. I know the fish one isn't all that inspiring, but it does indicate that he's a bookish, scientific sort of fellow. It's the black heart event, so I understand why he's not pouring out his sad past to you XD.

But I've really enjoyed the other two events, particularly the second event which happens inside his house, in the library. Poor guy, he's obviously had it tough. Spolier: I'm guessing he was only around fifteen or sixteen when he lost his parents, and Dirk around five or six (if he's fifteen or sixteen at the time of the game). If he were any younger I imagine they would have both been placed in a Harvest Orphanage. I like him because he's serious and responsible and educated and intelligent, and also quiet, generally even-tempered and low key. Not a criticism, but I don't really get the remark that he's feminine at all, other than the fact he likes perfume [which seems, from the way he describes it, to be like aromatherapy, not getting dressed up for the princess ball]. I mean, I know he wears culottes, but not everyone can wear overalls (or sexy turbans X3). I think Angelo is way more generally girly than Ivan. Not that I have a problem with girly boys, I just don't see how Ivan is one of them XDD

I still like Lloyd a lot. I think he's a suave, sophisticated, self-confident, worldly sort of fellow. I loved his rival heart event with Sherry. He's not all that chatty with people he doesn't know well, but he will talk to his friends if they like -- since he's always telling stories of his travels to Felix. I think he's generally reserved, but not because he's shy, but more a little aloof. I think even in his retirement to Zephyr Town he still takes his job pretty seriously -- maybe because he wants to give back to Zephyr Town for being a nice place for him to live (and the people being friendly to him). I thought he would be more tsundere, like I said, but he ended up being more like a (bazaar) genius who's sometimes rude to people not out of spite or malice, but because he's totally consumed thinking about whatever it is he's thinking about (Sherry's panties?) XD.

He's much harder to court than Ivan at the beginning, though :< I need to get my kitchen fully functional and make some food he likes X3.

Ivan likes Herb Salad which is almost always served at the Zephyr Cafe, for 300g, which is great if you can't find anything else to give him! :D

I understand how nobody else sees him as girly; I'm not quite sure why I do. It's not the purfume thing, just an odd interpretation of him I have. Maybe it's because I was thinking of Ayame's (from Fruits Basket) mannerisms when I first saw him?

I agree about Angelo, I was just recently thinking that I would love to have my character marry him if he was a girl, because out of all the characters, I think he's the most similar to me. More than any of the bachelorettes. XD
