Suggestions for Marrying Vaughn

Hello everyone.

I am playing Island of Happiness again after taking like a huge break (like a year). I stopped playing mainly because I got tired of waiting to marry Vaughn. I really want to marry him, but waiting for him can be frustrating because he is only in town once a week.

Right now I have 6 hearts with him. I am in Summer 10th, Year 2. I am an Expert Rancher lv. 3. I have a good amount of money in the game, I even have a Greenhouse (and the house upgrades needed to get married.)

Currently I give him milk as a gift, cause I can't figure out the rice stuff >_<.

Any suggestions on a faster way to raise his love points? (at this point I'm debating on selling all of my animals just so I can marry him faster and I don't have to keep taking care of them.)

BTW I played SI and I married Julia :) I married her in Winter of Year 1. I must say she is much easier to marry...

I married vaughn...I didnt marry him until year 5 because I kinda forgot about the fact that you can marry :P LOL It only took me just under 2 years to marry him.
here is the list of things I did...I hope this helps!
1. Talked to him for the 2 days he is around...
2. Gave him milk (I couldnt do the rice either :P)
3. Showed him my dog (carry it and then talk to him to show)
4. Made sure I answered correctly in all heart events and never showed him a carrot :P LOL
this is all I did and I mannaged to marry him...so I hope this helps...
Btw...it is easier to marry him in SI cause you can buy rice from chen to make porridge...

So talking to him twice a day helps? I'll do that :).
I have not been showing him my dog, so I'll do that too!
Just under 2 years to marry? Well that's not too bad. I'm now on Summer 21st of Year 2. So that means I should be almost there! That makes me happy.

Really? I didn't know that in SI. That probably would have been easier >_<. But I made it this far in IoH, so I want to finish what I started. :)

I only found out about the rice thing from luckily reading it somewhere :P Otherwise I would have been just giving him milk :P
I'm not sure if talking to him twice a day does anything...I just did cause I felt like it :P
I asked a while ago about vaughn and some helpfull person said about the dog :P He says something like "good doggie" when you show him :P
Yeah...I am pretty sure it was around 2 years...so you shouldnt have to wait that long! :P

I now have 8 out of 10 hearts!! (Orange Heart <3)
Plus I have some heart events I still need to see. So that should help raise it a bit more. Yay! I should be getting close...

Im trying to figure out how to trigger Vaughn's third heart event. His heart meter is full, but no such luck. Can the level of other characters affection interfer with it? Denny's heart meter is full as well, and he wont let me give him something he hates.

As for your question, his heart meter on your villager menu has nothing to do with heart events. The heart when you talk to him does. Other character don't make a differnce either.
