Natsume is no stranger to the notion of releasing a Harvest Moon as a last generation game...the very first Harvest Moon, Back to Nature and GB3 have all appeared in America as some of the last exclusive games for their respective consoles.

I'm with AnonFish. I am estimating a Christmas Holiday Release, if not longer.

It has been 7 months since it's release in Japan and we have heard nothing about Twin Villages English version other than the fact that it's coming and with the 3DS coming out next month, everyone will be focused on that.

We can make the assumption that there will be a rush to get Twin Villages out so they can focus on 3DS games, or, that they will hold off Twin Villages as long as possible for marketing purposes (Ergo, why a Christmas release).

If we're lucky though and Natsume keeps the same track they kept with Rune Factory 3, I say a mid Summer Holiday release for America.

Wouldn't they pass TV onto a translation company? The type of people needed to create a game are different to those needed to translate it so they will probably outsource the translation.

Natsume IS a "translation company". I know you probably ment them giving it to another group just to translate from Japanese to streamline things, but that would be an extra expense for them. Like XSEED, NiS America, Atlus USA, Carpe Fulgur, etc, their primary purpose is to localize the games they aquire the rights to, which consists mainly of translating the game from Japanese. The two things that usualy hold Natsume back from a regular release schedule are not related to translation:

1) They stumble upon the game breaking bugs Marvelous usualy leaves in their games and feel obligated to try and fix them either out of want of a better product or necessity. This has backfired on Natsume a lot as they have had to remove features entirely or accidentaly created NEW bugs in the process, like in Tree of Tranquility. The Mother 3 translation project was a massive effort because of the strange/bad way Brownie Brown programed the game. A lot of time was spent fixing the code so that the game would display english text properly and not crash because of it.

2) Money and/or Timing. I've noticed that Natsume waits to aquire enough capital to release a game if they're a bit lacking at the time they originaly stated they will release a game. Printing copies costs money, as does any advertisements they choose to take out for the game. Even online ads cost a good deal of money if you want a wide spread across the intertubes. Natsume has also cited timing as a reason to push back releases, they don't like to go up against blockbuster titles if they can help it. I think the main intention is to attract people not familiar to the series to a game, since "nothing else good" is out on a given day they may choose.

^Whaaa? It aint summer yet.....its still to freaken cold in my mind. Any way with RFO just being released in Japan it probably wont take that long to translate this game cuz u would think that they would want TV to come out before Oceans. Plus the fact that it came out last year I dont think they would want to torch-er us by making us wait another year....well unless they want a bunch of fan people bustin down there doors with torches, guns, knifes, chain saws,..........more that i shouldn't talk about.......

Well my main point is, is that unless they want one angry mob of mainly me they should bring the game to the states soon........OR ELSE....i have connections

Even though I just got my Grand Bazaar, I'm still very excited at the thought of a new game. GrB is quite boring, but it is fun to play. I saw a few reviews for Twin Villages and it seems exciting. But honestly, I feel a bit disappointed coz there are supposedly only 3 bachelors. Only 3? Oh, I hope not. That would be boring.

Nevertheless, I wish Twin Villages would come out soon. :D

There are 6 bachelors and 6 bachelorettes. You can marry a person from the second village, even if you don't live there.

SUMMER!! Really?! Then I have a very long, well deserved and good weather summer holiday + Twin villages... That would be great..... And it is almost summer! Yay!

I think it won't come out until Fall. Like maybe they'll announce a Summer release date and then push it back until October or November .
