Twins implicates that they are the same when the two of them are drastically different.
Two Towns sounds better, but it's still an awful title.

I think the full title is "The Tale of Two Towns." My guess is someone on-staff is a Dickens fan.

"The Tale of Two Towns" isn't a great title. I'll probably just refer to it as Twin Villages. I agree that Twin Villages isn't exactly accurate, but they didn't need to give the game such a long, cumbersome title instead.

WOOOOOO its about time they said that there releasing it. My head was about to explode just waiting for it......but since they dont have a real release date knowing them they will say at the last moment "oops we meant NEXT year our bad" or something like that. but still so excited about this game

I don't think it will be available in 3D. The Japanese version is a normal DS game and Natsume probably isn't able to turn a normal DS game into a 3D one. Especially since they are a pretty small company that mainly does translating, not game making.

Besides I don't think they would be allowed to do that with the English version if there wasn't also a Japanese version in 3D. It could mean you can play the normal DS one on the 3DS or you can buy it specifically for the 3DS. Who knows.

But I am excited they finally mentioned it.

I believe that what they meant is the former, rather than the latter, since as you also said, they aren't allowed to make it 3D, unless the original copyright holder makes it in 3D first.

The 3DS is backwards compatible. If they're saying they're making the game for both the 3DS and the normal DS, it means they're probably going to make the game in 3D. Otherwise, they'd just release it as a normal DS game and save themselves some production costs.

However, if making a game 3D that wasn't originally in 3D is anything like making a movie 3D that wasn't shot in 3D, the 3D will likely not look very good. If that's the case, I'll probably just get whichever version is the cheapest.

i didnt think of that. id have to see some gameplay in 3d i think to see if it even looks any good. and thats if they can even do it. ill probably just the ds version unless the 3d looks decent(well i guess i could just turn it off) and if they add something special to the game for it being 3ds.

Hmm, I like Twin Villages so much more as well, though most likely cause I heard it first and have been using it for months. I just can't wait for this to come out now.
