Ivan's Purple Heart Event Issues

I'unno why, but no matter what, I just can't seem to activate this. D=
It's a Friday in my game, and I keep going in between 2 and 4:30 pm, plus I have seen his black heart event, he has a purple heart, it's sunny, etc.
Anybody else know what's wrong?

Does he have 2 hearts or only one? I had problems activating Lloyd's heart event.. he had only one heart, but his heart was purple. I only made it when he had 2 hearts

Just checked, and yup, he has two filled in hearts, plus the purple heart by his icon

Edit: Wait, just thought of something...he's really close to a blue heart, so I haven't been giving him presents for some number of days. Could that be it?

It shouldn't. And you're sure it's not on a festival or someone's birthday?

Mhmm, it's the 10th of summer, nothin going on. I'm gonna try again on the 17th.

I was thinking of the blue event! So sorry. xD;;
Um, gee. Now /that/ doesn't make any sense. :S I hope it works next week! I'll try to keep thinking about a possible problem. O_o
...like, are you holding anything when you enter? And have you already seen an event that day? (I don't know if those things matter, but, you know. xD)

Heart events just might be a tad bit harder to encounter in this game. When I was trying to do Sherry's gray heart event, it didn't work a couple of times and then one Sunday, I randomly came across it. Just give it some time.

I was just about to make a topic on this o_o
I have him to a blue heart and it still won't activate. I've literally spent in-game hours just running in and out of his house. D;
Also, pretty sure holding something doesn't affect whether the event triggers or not. I got Lloyd's black heart event when I was holding a flower.

'kay, somewhat glad I'm not the only one with this problem >__<
Yeah, now he's at a blue heart for me too, and it still hasn't activated.
