Is it possible to befriend the bats? If so, what will they eat?
I'm not really trying to befriend all the animals per se since they've been useless so far, but the bats sure are annoying when I'm trying to gather junk ore for a quest.

In the tunnel connecting the villages. If I remember correctly, you can go deep enough to see them after the 2nd tunnel quest. They're vicious though! >_<
EDIT: According to this page you cannot befriend bats or moles (forgot about them!). However, I did find another site that appeared to contain an AR code to make wild animals like you, including bats. [野生動物(コウモリ含む)がハートになる。] So I'm not completely sure; it sounds like there's nothing they will eat though. :(
