Exactly what it says in the title. Sort of. I make a point of chatting with Dirka daily, but I've only been able to trigger one date with him... around 15:50-ish on... a Sunday? I think it was a Sunday. Does anyone know what the exact date times for him are?

And horses. Is there an advantage to renting a Thoroughbred instead of a Pony? How about Dosanko horses?

Well the only advantage to buying the other horses is that they are capable of pulling heavier carts.

Nope, they're just rentals. You can only rent one at a time. It makes it pretty pointless to give them treats/brush them/give them names... They don't even have a heart meter. I'm not sure if when you rent a type for the second time, you have to give it a new name, or if it will keep the old one. That would be cute, as if it was the very same horse you rented before. <3

Dirka's date times are:

Saturday, around 18:00
And on Sunday he'll start asking you on a date around 11:00

Not sure what the end times are, though x)

And you give the horses new names each time you buy a new one...

Thanks for the info. I've got another problem, though. I'm in Summer Year 2, and for some reason Airin keeps giving me the big bed quest. I haven't been able to find any mountain stones at all, though (is it because I haven't gotten the hous upgrade yet?) Will she keep giving me this quest until I complete it, or will she eventually switch to another quest when it becomes available?

I'm not sure if she will give up on the bed request, so I suggest you try to find some mine rocks so you don't waste too many seasons with no upgrades. If you check the forage spot under the waterfall on rainy/stormy days, you have a good chance of finding one. If you're in winter, the area to the left of the waterfall area has a spot you can access by walking on the river, which sometimes has mine rocks. These places can give you mine rocks whether you've upgraded anything or not. Also, check the tunnel every day if you've opened it.

That's the thing; the quest first appeared in spring year 2, and I've been checking the usual spots for mine stones daily in the hopes of finding them.

Oh well. Dx Maybe switching towns for a season might help. Thanks, anyway.

Huuurrrr, it appears that another date time of Dirka's is Thursday, 19:00~ just found that one out!

And in winter, on some days around 13:00 it starts to snow, making the chances for finding mine rocks much higher. Plus, I find that spring is the hardest time to find mine rocks. And about the changing thing... She seems to give me random requests x( She broke down part of the tunnel, gave me the first "bee box" thing, and then I just got the big bed request.

My tunnel needs to be broken. . .

Apparently it's not just spring for me; daily checks of the three usual spots (both sides of the tunnel and the spot below the waterfall) during each day of Summer yielded absolutely no mine stones whatsoever. D; Hopefully fall and winter are better...

What's really strange is that in my first year, I was able to find at least the required amount during each season; I was finding them right until the beginning Spring year 2, when I first got the quest.

I'll try moving to Bluebell at the end of fall to see if that changes what requests I get, but if I continue to be unable to find mine stones I'll probably have to start a new file. Which really sucks since I was able to get half the bachelors to green flowers and I befriended the pandas. '''OTL

Oh no! Don't start a new file, that would be so sad. My advice for you since you're having trouble is take advantage of rainy days. If it's a rainy (or even better, stormy) day, you have a much better chance of finding some. Only check the spots while it is raining. If it is raining in the morning but clears up in the afternoon and you still haven't checked, reset your game to check while it's still raining (same deal if it starts raining in the afternoon, but you already checked for the day while it was clear, just reset). In fact, I suggest resetting every time you don't find one on a rainy day. They may be more rare in summer than in spring, but I've found them in summer before; summer has the added benefit of typhoon days which are GREAT for mine rocks.

Thanks, I'll try your advice while I play through fall and winter. Speaking of winter, do snowy days have the same effect on mine rocks as rainy days?

*edit* IT WORKED! Thank you so much. :D I've got another mine rock to go, but at least it'll be easier finding them now.
