River Wonderfuls?

Sorry to bother everyone again, but I just got these odd shiny orbs from the river. Since it's called *kanji I don't know how to write*のすてき, I assume they are wonderfuls.

What are the wonderfuls for in this game, however?

The kanji you can't read is the color.

They're used for "wishes." Once you collect all 6 you throw the last one into the HG's pond, and she'll grant you a wish. Wishes are things like "increase friendship with Bluebell," "increase friendship with bachelors," "become able to marry Alisa," etc.

Fascinating! Thank you so much for the information! When you say all 6, is it one of each color, and is there only one wish per game? Sorry, just wanted to ask while I think about it!

One of each color. You can't get multiples of any color; once you find the green one, you can't throw it away and you can't pick up another green one until after you make your wish. (It's kind of annoying, I have 3 wonderfuls right now and they're just taking up slots in my storage unnecessarily.)

Once you make your wish you can collect the wonderfuls again and make another wish. When I made my wish, I only had 3 choices, but the wiki lists many more than that... I'm not sure if you always get a random selection of 3, or if you get more choices as you advance through the game.

The wonderfuls from TV are like wonderfuls from DS/Cute. If you collect them all, you can make a wish. But the ones from DS/Cute were much harder to collect:
