No mushroom for jou!

So uh, everybody knows about the mushroom logs right? Ok, so I put the mushroom seeds on the logs. Pretty straightforward right? But Chen just came out with Toadstool and I can't put them on there because ALL of the logs are occupied. I've tried smashing, cutting, hoeing, sickling, and I've also tried just putting the seeds on there. No luck. Any advice?

You can't exactly get rid of the mushrooms. I'd suggest trying to over-water them, or not watering them at all. >//< Either that, or you can just wait until they're done growing? I think it's fifty harvests when they finally stop growing. I hope I was of some help, good luck! c:
