No one's mentioned anything about harvest sprites in this game, which got me curious.
Are there harvest sprites in this game at all? If so, can you put them to work, like you could in the previous games? In the GBA games, I've always had the sprites work as my sla... er, happy helpers.
Harvest Sprites?
Nope, none at all. If anything, you occasionally end up working as the "sprites" for your neighbors if you accept certain requests that involve you watering plants, harvesting crops, or caring for animals.
Closest thing would have to be your cats and dogs, who will take out to graze and bring in your poultry and livestock.

Wow, no Sprites? I wonder why. Is the Harvest Goddess in TV? (Sorry to be asking a question in someone else's asking topic)
Maybe your farm just isn't really so big that you can't handle the work on your own, and thus don't absolutely need the Sprites...but that's kind of a lame reason. That's probably not it, I don't even know, it was just a guess.

And yeah, I found that so far I haven't really needed any assistance yet. Managing the farm has been fairly simple, except on days when I get 4-5 harvests at the same time.

Yup, you can walk over your crops no problem. Just don't hit them with your farm tools, or their quality will take a dive.
I should mention, though, that each bag of seeds will only produce one plant. This makes money management seem a little extreme sometimes, but once you get into the swing of things it's not so bad. Utilizing irrigation systems helps save time, but like I said, on days when you're harvesting single-output crops things can get a little hectic. Imagine having two kinds of flowers, potatoes, and turnips ripening all at the same time, as well as a batch of cucumbers.
