But between her, Sofia's opposite speak (I got the let the monsters have their way with you repeatedly line for the first time today), Marian's total, y'know, psycho doctor-ness, Daria's RAINBOW! obsession, Kuruna's random adorableness, Evelyn's fashion sense... I came to the following conclusions:

A) I think Sharance was founded by crazy people. That, or the tree makes them all go crazy. But I like it so much better that way.

B) I like all the bachelorettes (except maybe Shara) so much I want Micah to marry them all. And also Evelyn. So I will.

C) Yes, Micah has a harem of crazy people in my mind now. Deal.

D) I started copy/pasting the best conversations into a Word document for future laughter.

E) Best Rune Factory yet. Y/N?

For A, I doubt the tree makes them go crazy. Micah seems pretty stable. Unless he's secretly raving mad.

I totally agree for wanting Evelyn to be a bachelorette. I really thought she was one!

Carlos: *music stops* The sword was like a mirror! Gaius does really good work!
Micah: Oh. I thought for a moment...

lol, yeah, Carlos' stories where it momentarily seems like he likes one of the girls are pretty funny. The only ones I recall are Raven (where he's really remarking on the quality of the blade) and Shara, where he's actually remarking on her sales persona and how he could learn from her. Are there any others? I don't think I've seen any.

I just ran across one that about made me fall out of my chair (would never have heard it if I hadn't been sitting here just letting the intro music run over and over again while I was browsing Facebook), It's Raven's intro line.

Yeah, I remember when I found that out. I was at my friends house and I was showing her RF3. When I turned on the game, I was like "Oh, that's Raven!" and then I hear her continue talking. I died. xD She actually says "Rune Factory 3" in 2 different recordings. One she says with a slightly different tone and doesn't say "There, now leave me alone" after it. O-o

Another reason to love Gaius...

Okay, I just recently had that "Catch the Most Squid" festival (Fall, Year 1 if it matters). Previously, Gaius had his usual clueless-about-what-festival-it-is routine. ^_^

But then, the day of the festival, I talk to him in the morning. (I caught him just outside his shop). He says something like "Today's a day for squid." and then in the second box he does his kinda sideways grin expression and says "I'm not squidding." Somehow that just hit me and I laughed my behind off.

Same day, Sakuya and Pia also say similar things - Pia says the day is "ex-squid-zit", and then one of them says they're "squidding around". Not quite as funny, since it's them and not Gaius (and you'd expect something from Pia on that day...), but still good.

But then! Then, I talked to Gaius later on in the afternoon/evening (same day still)...and he comments on how he was trying to come up with more puns...and failing. Poor Gaius. I love the snot out of him.

Darn, I know I've run into a couple more since that festival that I don't think have been mentioned in this thread yet...but I can't remember them this second. Ah well, the game is chock-full of these; I'll find some more.

E) Best Rune Factory yet. Y/N?

Yes... and the nice thing is, there is STILL room for improvement! Which means RF4 can be even more awesome; they're not over the hill yet.

First off, we need rivals again; that aspect was totally absent from RF3. I'd even like it if there were multiliner quest lines in which depending on how things go, you get the girl, or he gets the girl (you totally hook him up), or you get the girl but you have to fight him for her, or vice versa, or you accidentally get too close to her and have to gently let her down so he can have her... and so on.

Secondly, the kids need to be better integrated into the game. I'm not suggesting anything along the lines of RF2 (never finished it; it was too long), but would it be so hard to give them schedules and friend points and such? (If you neglect your child, you end up being perceived as a "cold" type father.) As well, the other couples should come together over time and have kids of their own. I'm not asking for more main quest; just that the village should continue to grow for a bit after the main gameplay comes to an end.

But mechanics and festival and everything else wise, definitely. And I entirely agree: I would love all the modifications you listed; I really liked the rivals (and RF2 had them take a nice long time so I could still see them, but could also have time to woo all of the girls!).
