You mean おやつ? You feed one to animal and it slightly increases their affection. The different kinds have different effects, but I'm not sure what they are.

And... I was under the impression that the pond was for fish. It's for ducks? o_o

a) You can catch the with bare hands. If you see a fish under your feet, press B.

b) you can use a fishing pole
