In the Starry Night Festival, you ask someone close to you (a bachelor or bachelorette at a green heart) to go to the festival. You have dinner, and you go out to look at the stars. All bachelors and bachelorettes, not including Vaughn, Mark, and Chelsea for they have no permanent homes, you go to their house for the festival. Mark, Chelsea, and Vaughn will come to your house in the morning and wait until you finished all your farm work until you go to the festival.

Hope this helps!

I don't remember if it was this game or another one (now that I think of it, it may have been the first Rune Factory), but at one point, a character refers to Starry Night as Christmas Eve. Also, in DS and DS Cute (and maybe (M)FoMT, but I've never gotten that far), Thomas imitates Santa Claus by sneaking into your house to give you a gift after you go to bed on the day of the Starry Night Festival, implying that yes, Christmas exists, it's just not observed.

Yeah, I was thinking about that, but it's not really an event. Although I may view it that way because I never got the sock to use.
