i am having trouble staying logged in. are any of you other guys having this problems

What version of IE?
Also try enabling the "Remember me" option when logging in.

Update IE to version 8.
You could also try Firefox.

i am currently using firefox but i have dial up internet so updating would be an act of congress lol

I remember having this same exact issue and I was also using IE. I later switched to Google Chrome and I'm no longer experiencing troubles with staying logged in.

I like it a lot. I don't find it difficult to navigate...well it was a little weird when I first started using it but that was only for a day or two. The only downside of it that I've found is using it on chat...it tends to log you out and lag without your knowledge but if you don't plan on using Ushi's chat often, then you're fine. Other than that, it's an excellent browser; it has great speed.

I use Opera which works perfectly with ushi. Since switching from IE I've never had a single problem [except for ones where the forum itself is down of course]. Too bad so many sites are designed only for Firefox and IE. >:

If you're using dial-up, then you might want to consider using a text-based browser, like Lynx:
