I wonder if a lot of girls in Japan play RF. Either way the RF games always do better in the NA so they should really care about what the fans over here want.

And it seems most people would like a full female playable character. But I'm not sure if they take suggestions . And I'd still play RF anyways.

Really? I always thought this kind of game was way more popular in Japan than in the NA. x)

I thought so too. But here are the sales results and they speak for themselves. Something like this was posted in the RFO topic. But there was no way I'd search through that whole thing. I got this from another site.

JP RF1 Total Sales = 143,444 units
NA RF1 Total Sales = 327,991 units

JP RF2 Total Sales = 146,005 units
NA RF2 Total Sales = 289,815 units

JP RF3 Total Sales = 101,790 units
NA RF3 Total Sales = 113,678 units

JP RFF Total Sales = 40,533 units
NA RFF Total Sales = 121,289 units
EU RFF Total Sales = 90,977 units

Well maybe there are more options in Japan. I mean how many games in the NA are like RF? Not a lot. In Japan this type of game might be more common so they'd don't have to all get RF. Here you don't really have that many choices if you are looking for a game like that.

That's just a theory I don't know for sure though.

RF is the only game of it's kind that I can think of in the U.S.

There are other games with farming, but none that I can remember which mixes farming and dungeon-crawling. :P

Do you know any games in Japan that are like RF? I don't, which is the main problem with my theory .

Anyways as long as it is more popular here at least we don't have to worry about them not wanting to translate it to English.

Yeah, I think it has to be the uniqueness factor. :T
/redundant

Um..... Holy shizzle monkeys......
I didn't realize that it sold that much more here. D:

There are probably lots of RPGs and dating sims, so maybe they don't actually care to go for RF.
Maybe the fans there are mor divided in their prefrences in their games and don't branch out as much to other genres.
Does any of that make sense? :L

Hmm I guess that could be it. People who like the marriage part could get one of the zillion date sims in Japanese and people who like the fighting element can get one of the zillion RPG games in Japanese :P.

Well I actually have no idea if there are a zillion RPGs or dating sims in Japanese :?. But there are probably more there than here.

Yeah.. There are definitely more in Japan than here. People here are more close-minded to that kind of thing. xD

I would have liked RF3 more if they made Micah an androgynous character, like Jamie from that HM game I think is called... Magical Melody?

It took me a second to remember what androgynous meant. :B

I think I would've liked it better if they made him look more masculine. Not to the extreme, but something like Raguna. (I've said this before xD)
