Next Harvest Moon game?!
Or- and here's a revolutionary idea- make a Harvest Moon game that actually feels like a Harvest Moon game. AP and ToT are fine on that point, but GrB and TV felt like part of a completely different series to me (that being said, I don't dislike TV. I nothing it, and will continue to nothing it until I play it in English). It would also be nice if the plot had something to do with, y'know, farming.

I would love a plot that had to do with improving your farm again. Make the focus on farming dang it >:(. That's the best part of the game. And now it seems just tacked on as a gimmick.
I don't know I still kinda like quantity over quality. Just because no matter how good a game is I like new characters and new towns. So I would rather play two games for a shorter amount of time than one game for as long as those two combined XD.

When I think of Harvest Moon, I think of building a grand farm while making rich and deep relationships with people in the village and getting married and having a nice relaxing little life. The point of Harvest Moon is to take you to a relaxing world where you do what you want. Harvest Moon, however, has flew far away from this, and that hit me with AP. Yes, AP has a great family system, but other than that the game has nothing special to offer. It is just boring. Same thing goes with the new Harvest Moons. Marvelous needs to go back to what used to make Harvest Moon addicting. I thought ToT did a great job, it was fun, fast paced, and lively, and you grew along with the town and your farm. Marvelous is trying to hard when really the formula is simple. For starters the new Harvest Moon game needs to have fun festivals. I never played 64 or BTN, I started with AWL, but when I heard about the festivals in those 2 games, they seemed very fun. Also, why not have an ending system like 64's? Instead of collecting dumb fragments to restore music to an island, how about we go back to something similar to pictures, and trying to get everything accomplished before a certain amount of time. Not only would that make it fun, but it would have great re-playability. Tbh, their should be less bachelores and bachelorettes, that way their can be concentration making a small amount better and richer so they have good events and such. Random events need to be in their, lots of them. In sum, the old formula needs to come back. Otherwise, the new Harvest Moon will just be another boring, mindless, SAVE SPRITES AND GODESSE, sort of game. The only new HM I have liked thus far is ToT.

I agree. As someone who has played BTN, it is a brilliant game. The best thing is even after you get the ending, you can keep on playing! (though usually you've done everything in the game at that point)Anonymous Fish wrote:When I think of Harvest Moon, I think of building a grand farm while making rich and deep relationships with people in the village and getting married and having a nice relaxing little life. Maybe, as I said before, a remake of AWL, except you could choose to be boy or girl and a load of other options I'm going to put into one huge topic.Googaboga wrote:I would like the 3DS game to be like a console game. We already got the remake of awl/anwl. I doubt they will make a next one.Anonymous Fish wrote:Maybe, as I said before, a remake of AWL, except you could choose to be boy or girl and a load of other options I'm going to put into one huge topic.Googaboga wrote:I would like the 3DS game to be like a console game. I think I prefer when they flood 3 HM per years. Now I don't have anything to fantasize over

But then it means that it may not be as good as it could be. By constantly giving us an HM game, they're just kind of not up to their full potential. HM comes out with games considerably fast but they all seem just a little like they didn't care about making a great game, but instead a bunch of decent games.Googaboga wrote:You're just jealous you didn't come up with Harvest Moon : Rainbow first. I can tell.
I agree. It is more fun when there is always a new game to be excited about.Dougy wrote:.

I mean if I really thought that if they took twice as long to make a Harvest Moon instead of making two, the characters would end up keeping me interested for as long as two separate games than I would want them to do that. But I don't think so. Which is why I like a lot of new games.
Make earning friends and getting married/beating the plot take longer. It takes less than a year to get married and making friends is so easy if I even bother to do it anymore :/. And once the plot is over I get bored very quickly so then I want something new
.
Or you know what if they could make just running the farm fun again then it wouldn't matter if the other stuff was easy
