The type of HM games I think I like the most are the ones where you basically start out with a shack and a patch of dirt- no barn, no coop, nothing- and you have to work to buy or grow everything else. IoH is pretty much the most extreme version of this, since you can't even buy things like rice or bread in the store, like you can in pretty much every other HM game. I know a lot of people probably consider those games to be a pain in the « Mr.Gourmet's hat », but I find them to be more satisfying then the games where you start out with a house, barn, and coop that are already pretty nice. I'd like to see the next HM game be like that (though it probably won't be, since AP, GrB,and TV weren't
)
How about no house too?Kameko Suigami wrote:The type of HM games I think I like the most are the ones where you basically start out with a shack and a patch of dirt- no barn, no coop, nothing- and you have to work to buy or grow everything else.
We should be able to build a floor (where our kid's room would be) and buy some nice things like flowers, paintings, furniture, carpets etc.
I liked the system from DS/Cute because I could build a barn/coop where I wanted. The farm belonged to me =D
I would like to see more types of animals:
- pigs (mushrooms)
- rabbits (flowers)
- ducks (eggs)
- quails (eggs)
- chickens (eggs)
- cows (milk)
- goats (milk)
- alpaca (wool)
- sheep (wool)
- silkworms (so cute!!!)
- horse
- dog
- cat
- ferret
I hated how I had to have my bed on the bottom floor. That's ridiculous. Kids sleep in their own room and have to come past us to go outside or upstairs. That's not going to cause problems whatsoever. *sarcasm*
Also, why not slowly have to restore your whole farm. Clearing bushes and picking up trash. Since HM debute on the SNES we have had:
stumps
rocks (small, medium and large)
weeds
branches
trees
Why not add a few more "clearing mechanics" by bringing back the shovel and have to level your field. Irrigation would make the series more interesting for sure. (Though at least try to explain the process unlike the sunshine games. T_T)

In IoH the weeds growing at my field was a damn pain. I cleaned all my field and on the next day I found a bunch of weeds again
Anyway, I agree with gyuujuice, in the older games we had to clean all field from weeds, stones, stumps and branches. I remember the damn big stones in FoMT/MFoMT. I had troubles with smashing them, lol. I was still a newbie, duh! In the new games GrB/TV the fields have 0 weeds, 0 branches and stumps. Everything is cute and clean. Also, the fields in both games are « Snuggly Bunny » small! TOO SMALL! I would like to grow more crops and trees, but I can't. No place for that! In GrB even the greenhouse was tiny. I miss the huge fields from the older versions, though.
That would be interesting.Fretka wrote:How about no house too?Kameko Suigami wrote:The type of HM games I think I like the most are the ones where you basically start out with a shack and a patch of dirt- no barn, no coop, nothing- and you have to work to buy or grow everything else. You would be living in a tent and if you would like to have a house, you would have to work for it (not long, but still..., for example, you would need 50 stone materials and 1000G).
Bringing back the clearing of your fields would be nice, too. I find there's nothing to at the beginning of the games where your field starts out completely bare (though I actually liked having to mow grass before tilling the ground in TV)

i don`t care what they call it. i just want some marriage candidates that can give off the impression that natsume spent more than six minutes on creating them.
scratch that; i would like deeper characters in general.
and a more customizable player - character would be nice, as well. i made a face to those in the ds games.
Natsume didn't spend any time creating them, because Natsume didn't make the games.unicorn pandemic wrote:i don`t care what they call it. i just want some marriage candidates that can give off the impression that natsume spent more than six minutes on creating them.

Something else I'd like to see in the next HM game: for Natsume to not put their logo in front of the company that actually DID make the « Snuggly Bunny » game.

I've only played a few games. The building system in Magical Melody annoyed me. I mean, my house & crops was on one side of the town, and then all my animals were on the other side. I don't wanna have to walk all that way just to have a barn and a coop. I enjoy my crops and would love more field space.
But I really like the idea of customizing characters. You can choose from 5 or 6 different hairstyles, different skin tones, eye colors, hair colors, and all that jazz.
I might draw some hair ideas, since I have some free time. But you could choose from long styles and short styles, curly and straight. I sometimes hate how the character looks, and I love creating my character and putting my own personal touch to it.
I also think a Harvest Moon for the computer would be good. Sure, the graphics might not be amazing, but it would probably be available to a much wider market. More people MOST LIKELY own a computer than the people who own a Wii or a DS. Also, the amount of PC gamers who love Harvest Moon is very high. I wouldn't mind if they kept it for the console, but I don't want to have to buy a whole new gaming system (Nintendo 3DS) just for a new Harvest Moon game.
Also, a Harvest Moon game for the xBox 360 would be nice too. But that's most likely impossible.
Would you mind, since I'm always bored, if I draw like, cover art and the boy and girl characters for our Rainbow game? I have some ideas in mind for both (:

Psawh drawing HM: Rainbow is always acceptable. Just as long as the main boy is Mr. White and the main girl is Miss Black. And of course there are Rainbows all over
.
I would get a Harvest Moon for the computer. As long as it was more like a normal HM game. I don't like the Harvest Sprite browser game. I forget what it is called
