Agreed.
And the beach in HMDS sorta serves a purpose. But as a glitch. If its snowing and you send the team of fishing sprites out to the beach area, the next day you'll wake up with something like...100 billion gold, or some outrageous amount like that. More than enough to buy the island.

Hahahaha, yes, I am VERY thankful for that glitch.
Zephyr Town isn't really near the ocean, and I would REALLY be surprised if it was. I mean... it's so... mountain-y and it's also near the city. HMDS has an ocean near to it too I guess, but isn't a no beach place in Harvest Moon quite nice?
I think there are beaches in almost every Harvest Moon game so this is different from before games. :D

I'm really surprised there isn't a mine considering the setting seems to be in a mountainous region.

Iv'e never ben a big fan of the beaches, but I am pissed that the game lacks a mine...

Yes but that'd make my life soooo much more difficult. She already requires like what? 120 items for marriage? I guess she's not as bad as Keira but it is still a pain. Besides, I like her little shrine.
I do want a mine tho! I hate that bs ore winter system thing >.< couldn't they have put the mine near Angelo/Agi's house? Like that space near the little island that you can only get to during the winter?

^ i agree. even in MM way back when there atleast was a mine you could get to atleast in the winter. i hate this new ore system they have. i mean if they werent going to have a mine, atleast get rid of ores so i dnt have to spend so much money buying them from Lloyd
