@Googa Ah yes, the puzzle parts of the game were awesome as well. I got so carried away with the couples that I forgot to mention how fun that was. ^^; You know, I don't think I ever finished it. That's right, I never got to unlock the WP. Now I really want to go back and start up my old file~

Haha, yes, either that or BTN:FG. I was so disappointed that they didn't let us play after marriage. D: But that was only a minor disappointment. I did really enjoy the storyline they created for the girl side. ^^

@Gentle *nod* I know how you feel. When I first saw Mark I couldn't stop staring into his eyes~ x3 I love his design so much (especially his little puppy dog face), and I have a bit of a weakness for emerald green eyes. :heart: I so badly wanted to marry him, but I gave him up for Natalie's sake. I know the two are happy together~
*drools at the pic Gentle dropped*
The tuxes were the best. Looking at Denny's, I almost married him for how he looked. Then I realized how ridiculous that was. ^^; Though I honestly think that if they didn't give him Kai's headband, I might've married him. I mean, his personality was really cute as well. Oh, and have you seen his yellow heart event? :heart: *needs to get her mind of the two she almost married and focus back on her hubby Will*

Celia, Muffy, Nami, and Lumina are pretty cool. I mean, there aren't a lot of them, but they have decent personalities.
Rock, Marlin, and Gustafa????
Give me a break. I hated them all.
Feel free to disagree but I was just really disappointed with them.
Mmm, I don't really get why, but Flora's always out of the question in A Wonderful Life. I remember being able to marry all five of the normal girls you could marry in HM DS in A Wonderful Life(At least on the PS2, since that's the version I played)
But on another wonderful life, it was all just the same with Rock, Marlin and Gustafa. It's a 5:3 ratio!
Well actually, it's just 5:2, cause seriously, who the heck would marry Gustafa? >>; I'd rather marry Griffin.

Anyway, I'm kind of agreeing with OP. 8C I'm going for Will right now since it's only my first game & I've already had enough of Vaughn from IoH, but still. If it weren't for him & Skye from HM DS Cute, I wouldn't be playing the games right now! D:

Flora is left out because you can not marry her in any Wonderful Life game. You must not be remembering correctly cause it's not a 5:3 ratio. It's 4:3. Only Lumina was added as a bachelorette in the Special Edition. And then there were also the original three that were in the normal version :D.

BtNFG was actually (almost) perfect for me. The heart events were the best in probably any girl version HM game I have ever played. And since I stay single anyways it's nice to see the wedding but just play the rest of the game single :lol:. The only problem is you can't really avoid some of the proposal events. And then if you reject the guy you never get another chance. But whatever it was still great. I wish the newer heart events were that awesome.

CherryRose wrote: FF was what made me a die-hard Mark/Natalie shipper. :heart: They made such an amazing couple. :D I think they balance each other out really well, and they had such cute reactions to everything. I also approved of the strong Julia/Elliot, Lanna/Denny... and Will was too cute to pass up. Well, cute in an extremely cheesy way, but very cute and charming regardless. Can't say we got the short stick when I'm looking at all those handsome men in tuxes. ;)
I've seen some scenes from it, but I haven't played FF :(...but:

I'm glad I'm not the only one that really really likes MarkxNatalie :lala: They are also my favorite bachelor and bachelorette in IoH/SI. It's funny, for the first time in a HM game, my favorites separately also make my favorite couple.

And someone else who actually likes Will! He is cheesy, but it's so amusing and cute!<3

I do agree they really did a good job for the wedding outfit transformations. Especially Elliot Now if he were to just look a little more confident it would've been perfect.

BTN:FG was great <3
I'm not going to lie though, seeing Gray's last scene after marriage did make me sad because the game wouldn't continue in that scenario >.<
Especally since I really like that version of Gray (well I like them all, but still..)

@Googa Ah, well, I can't stand being single. xD I always want my character to end up with someone, and I love seeing others living on the farm. Only problem is, I can have such a short attention span sometimes when it comes to games, so my characters don't always make it that far. ^^; It'd be easier and I'd get more done if I could just stick to one game, but oh well. I plan to go back and finish all my files, with marriage, kids, and everything. Someday. :lol:

@Gentle Oh, that's cool too. xD I understand, the temptation to marry him is powerful. I just made sure to keep away from him and I did just fine. :P In fact, by the time I unlocked him, I had already gotten so far with Will, I might not've had the patience to marry him anyway. So it's all good. ^^ I'm going to have him marry Natalie on my guy file, but SI can be so hard to get back into.

@Kyuu You should get it sometime. ;) Not only was the dialogue top-notch, but it's a really addicting game. I brought it along with me on a trip once, and it kept me occupied during most of the car ride. ^^

While a part of me wants to agree that Mark is the best bachelor, I'm mostly going by his dialogue in FF. ^^; You see, I didn't unlock him until really late in my SI file, so I haven't gotten too much of his dialogue. Plus, I just can't go against my dear William~ But yes, Natalie was easily my favorite bachelorette of them all. :heart: Which is a saying a lot, since the WP was a bachelorette. I loved her from HMDSC. :D Hmm, thinking back on it, it may be a tie between those two. Either way, Natalie x Mark is clearly the superior couple. :lala:

Exactly! :) I've heard people say he's creepy, which I kind of get, but I find him more amusing than anything. x3 Plus, I love the name Will and he looks remarkably similar to this guy I once had a crush on. *blush* I actually thought him calling Chelsea an angel was sort of endearing, even if the line itself was pretty cheesy. I even considered naming our baby angel, but that would be too much. :lol:

Ah, Elliot. He was originally my first choice. I've always thought the guys who were cute in a dorky kind of way were awesome, but the lack of confidence killed that for me. Which, actually, is one of the reasons I'm so looking forward to Bismark in RF:ToD. Sure, I think it's lame they copied off of Elliot and Natalie, but I think with Bismark they made some improvements. Though in comparison to Natalie, Sierra is really a lot worse imo. xD But yeah, Elliot was still kind of sweet and I do admit he looked awesome in his wedding outfit. Then again, who doesn't? :3 Well, aside from Vaughn. I've never thought he was that great looks-wise, nor did I care for his rude attitude. *hides from numerous Vaughn fangirls*

Yeah, I know how you feel. I mean with Kai's ending, I could see how you couldn't do a continuation with that. But for Cliff and Gray's endings, it wouldn't have been that hard. Though that wouldn't be fair to the fans of the other guys, but still. >_> I'm a huge Kai fan myself, but I wouldn't have minded them leaving that as is. Or maybe they could've continued it with them moving back into town after traveling. *is discussing these possibilites pointlessly, since it's too late to change anything anyway*

Off topic D:

Back to Nature for Girls is only available in Japanese. If that doesn't work for you can get the PSP port. Harvest Moon: Boy & Girl. It is exactly the same as the PS1 versions of Back to Nature and Back to Nature for Girls, just on a different system.

I personally love it. The characters are so great and so are the festivals :heart:. It is an amazing HM game that I am really happy to have.

Pokie! *glomps* I am so happy you liked that too! :') Playing BTN for Boy and Girl brings back memories~.

Oh Dolly you're a cutie :3

Back to Nature was the second HM I ever played :D. And boy I sucked at it :lol:.

I do not think that just because the girl side ends means that it is not as good as the boy version.

I sucked at it at first too... I almost never married anyone until Rick gave me a ray of hope. XD Maybe that's why I like Rick but I love Doctor No name more.~

I agree with you. The girl version was actually better IMO. I liked it when I had a date at the Hg fest. Everyone's eyes were like WT- Woaaah... I hated Elli then cause she stole nameless from me but I love her now after I married her in my boy file. :heart:

In BTN FG, the girls didn't get the short end of the stick for me. It has more drama, plot and even a cliffhanger.
Spoiler:
you get to leave the village with your husband...though it depends on who you marry.
BTN will always have a special place in my heart.♥

I do find BTN:FG to be just as good of a game as BTN. I still do find it disappointing to not be able to continue the game with your pixelated romance interest of choice though. :P

@Cherry-dear:
I think I'll take your suggestion when try it out sometime (when I have money and can find it ^^;)

I kind of laugh when people say Will's creepy. I guess I can see it, but to me he's just over-the-top when it comes to expressing lovely-dovey stuffy. Sometimes people get on him about the pregnacy line about the baby being a sign of his and Chelsea's love. But hey the baby's not coming from the mail so..XD Naming you baby angel would've been hilarious XD

Improvements with Bismark? How so? I like glasses guys, but he seemed typical so I stopped paying attention to info about him. Off-topic: Sigh I'd like Marv to make a glasses guy that I'd like without him being overly nerdy/shy/self-conscious.

I think all the endings could've still ended up with a continuation, but would just have a time skip type thing.
Spoiler:
Though Rick's would be interesting...if you did stay at his chicken farm with his family would you just back to your farm in the morning or something...

Oh yeah, BTN:FG certainly didn't lack in content. That was just one little thing that wasn't to my liking, but whatever. Still a great game. ^^

@Kyuu-darling
Haha, okay, and if you ever do get it, be sure to tell me what you think. ;)

Exactly! :) And besides, it's not like it's some random stalker dude saying that stuff. He's your husband, so he's allowed to be cheesy sometimes. x3 Oh, yeah, I remember that line. Haha, I had a good laugh that something like that was kept in there. xD Then again, apparently Denny says something along the lines of, "I'm going to bed soon. Wanna join me?" after marriage, so that's much worse. x3

Yeah, I watched all these Japanese gameplay videos of RFO, and Bismark surprisingly showed some backbone. He was a bit mild at times, but he was pretty scary when he got angry. xD Unlike Elliot who just sighed at Natalie's behavior, Bismark actually talks back to Sierra. I was pretty impressed. ^^ Plus, I think he looks a lot better-looking than Elliot too. ;) He definitely has a nerdy side to him, but it's not half as bad as I thought. I hope they keep that when they translate it into english. I'm a bit worried they'll make his voice actor sound overly nerdy and pathetic when he tries to stand up for himself. :roll: Well how about Mikhail? I don't think he's nerdy at all, and his sad face has him taking his glasses off in the awesomest way~ *swoon*

Yeah, that's what I had in mind too. All they would need is one extra scene to explain what's happened since time passed, and about three after-marriage lines. I wouldn't even need a kid, all that would be good enough for me. xD I just like to be able to continue my game. That's why I could never get AWL, it doesn't have a heaven chapter like AnWL and AWL:SE do.

/way, way off topic
Unless you count the Will part. ^^;
