Logging in problems...

I just tried to log in, and typed my username and password in correctly, and it gave me a message saying that I had exceeded my amount of log in attempts. I've never known this to happen before, and I couldn't have typed my password wrong, because it's always been the same. I had to try logging in again, and answer a Harvest Moon related question.

Is this because my account has been inactive lately, or is it happening to everyone?

I haven't had any trouble. Although, I have it automatically logging me in.

Maybe someone else tried to enter as you, but couldn't get the password.

It hasn't happened to me. It is usually caused by a spammer trying to use brute force to hack your password to log-in with your account to avoid anti-spam countermeasures. Another possibility is an outdated template with a newer version of php, which is usually only effective on phpBB style forums. It wouldn't be the latter unless the site uses phpBB or other users don't have the same problem.

If it was someone trying to get at my account, I hope they didn't figure out the password...

I hadn't tried logging in for about a month, so it couldn't have been me, and I'd never forget my password anyway.
