What hosting do you use Cher? It looks a damn lot like Pro-boards, but different.
It has been bothering me.
So I thought it would be smart to just ask.
If you don't mind the bother.

I think it's wiredtree but I can't say for certain.

It's at the bottom of every page.

That's not hosting, that's just the forum software, but I think that's what OP meant.

I mean hosting. I knew she used phpBB, so do many proboard forums, that is what made me wonder.

proboards and phpBB are both two different forum softwares, as far as I know.

Not quite. phpBB is just software -- anyone can download it and run it on their own personal server; but ProBoards is a full remotely-hosted forum, you don't get to see the software, but you don't need your own server.

Well this definately isn't proboards, since the forum is hosted on the FOGU server. If it was proboards. there would have to be their extension in it, or if you buy your own domain name with them, the forum would be on its own address and not in a subfolder of the fogu domain. The other fogu pages wouldn't exist basically, if this was proboards.

Not quite again, I'm afraid. :P

It'd definitely not ProBoards, but not because of that reason. It's easy enough to have a forum hosted on a remote site but have it accessible through your own domain name. I doubt ProBoards would allow you to do that with one of their hosted forums without you paying them a monthly/yearly fee though.

But we've already established that the forum's running phpBB, so that's all irrelevant anyway.

I just did an whois on the server's IP, and it looks like Y.A.A.F is right; it's wiredtree.com.

Okay! thank you. my curiosity is sated. And i knew it wasn't Proboards, the message window and a few other factors are different, even thought the basic lay out is similar, but i recently got into website designing, and PB is who i use for technique practice, and that piqued my curiosity. And i was too lazy to figure out how to find out for myself.

because curiosity killed the cat, satisfaction brought him back, thank goodness!
