Please help me with Ivan!

I just started playing the game a while ago and it totally rocked.
But see, there's a problem. I'm not used to that game and its characters yet.
I really wanna marry Ivan.

I got some Chamomiles to give him, but I only got 2. I'm already in the 6th of Spring, 1st year and I have seen his black heart event but I have only given him 2 gifts until now!

I read that he likes Chamomiles and it's the easiest gift to give him.

Please help! What items does he like and where can I get them? Also, how can I raise Dirk's affection?

Ivan will like any herb be it Chamomile, Mint or Lavender. In a pinch you can also give him flowers albeit for less FP than herbs.
Dirk likes beetles so catch as many as you can during summer. He will also take tea leaves and coins for a smaller FP boost.

im married to Ivan so you can give Dirk any kind of bug (grasshoppers help since they're year round) and Ivan likes anything that smells good so just give him herbs (for Dirk Blue Magic Flowers also help)

You can see the events if the person is at the required heart color or higher than the required color for the event; you can see a yellow heart event even if the person has a red heart color. The events must be viewed in sequential order though. The black event must be viewed first, then the purple event, followed by the blue event, and finally the yellow event.
