You have a 10% chance of finding something in the river. Usually it will be empty can or small coin, but you can also find straight tea, ore stone, or gold, as well as a few other things i can't remember offhand.
Thank you for your reply, Emilin_Rose. I have jumped into waters countless times since day 1 and only came out with gold 3 times. I find it best to just purchase from Lloyd, as you mentioned. I did that awhile ago and created a few pieces using those. I typically end up using gold to make gold coins. I suppose what I was initially trying to say, but failed horribly at was, I am not really wishing to focus on creating a great deal of jewelry currently. Since I am not destitute in the game, it isn't high priority for me. It is a bit strange how I can enjoy creating things at the other windmills but not jewelry. What is up with that? *snickers* I mean, the process is the same, therefore it makes no sense to me. Alas, my offer still stands if anyone would like seeds or the following jewels: Topaz, Peridot, Agate and Emerald.
