Well, RF is no longer Harvest Moon, so you could consider it as spin off I guess.howard0512 wrote:Whats the platform of Oceans? I think its japanese but I want to play many harvest moon as i can
Yes, RFO is still in Japanese with no information for English localization yet.
It's for PS3 and Wii.
I think there's no difference between these two aside from different console you play it with.
Speaking of RF 4, I hope they make it for DS instead. I prefer having more interesting casts and good plot rather than having 3D features but with boring characters and disappointing plot.

I think RF4 will probably be for the 3DS too. I mean by the time it comes out the 3DS should be more common. It's not like it is coming out in the next few months or something. I wouldn't be surprised if a new RF wasn't announced until next year.
I mean it took a year after RF3 came out (in Japan) for RFO to be announced.

^Agreed. RF3 just came out last November and RFO only came out a week or so ago in Japan. The 3DS is coming out in a month?
If RF4 had been announced earlier and is planning on coming out in Japan by say...fall, then I wouldn't be surprised if it was for both the DS and the 3DS. (Similar situation: Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Released when the Wii came out and was available as both Wii and Gamecube).
However, RF4 hasn't even been announced yet and we're all just speculating.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was offered as only for 3DS. If it's been about a year since the 3DS has been out, then it would probably be only for the 3DS. They can't keep making games that are available on the new system and the old system. They would never sell the new system if you can get the new games on the old system. (If that makes sense.) RF4 would probably have features that are made just for the 3DS.

Of course it would have to be for the 3DS. I'm sure by the time we get around to an officially named "4" game, they won't be making DS games. Anyway, not to worry guys! With the past Rune Factory track record, if we get a 4 it'll be out sometime next year. They've come out every year since the series started.
