The cat on Evelyn's hat...

When I first started playing RF3, it took me a while before I noticed it, but Evelyn has a white cat on top of her checkerboard hat. Now, my first thoughts were that it looked very cute but after playing the game for a while, it seems at least to me that Evelyn may very well have used a real cat. Her in-game description even states that she'll use ANYTHING for clothing. She makes fishstick tuxedos and cheese fondue socks so I wouldn't put it past her to secretly take in a stray cat and well... use it for it's fur. (In Japan, China, Taiwan etc there are stories of people who actually keep cats for their pelts.) Evelyn really doesn't seem like the sort of person who'd kill and skin a cat for it's fur but... you never know...

Your thoughts?

Cause then the monkey would be real too...
Honestly I doubt they're real. I can see her having respect for living creatures.

Actually, the monkey is a stuffed toy. It works like a shield and you can make it in your workshop.

I'm sure its not a real cat, since using cat fur to make a cat accesory would be too... normal. I mean, she uses herbs for lace, onion skins to make a shirt, and fish for a whole lot of things. While after the wooly festival, she asks what she would ever use wool for when Micah asks if she'll keep some.

I also remember one of her request where she wants to add fur to an item, so she asks you for wood and a weird stone. Turns out Evelyn knows how to make faux fur using wood fibers and such. So I doubt she'd simply stuff a cat when she doesn't even use real fur in the first place. And I bet she'd enjoy making a cute toy like that from scratch.

I mean, the little cat heads on the end of her hair aren't real/alive, but she might have a real cat that sits on her hat all day. In RFF, Nolan had that cat on his shoulder all the time.

Shino said that she loved Evelyn's plushies. I doubt she would like them if Evelyn used the real animals to make them.

No, it's a tail. A lot of cats have fluffy tails, especially white ones.
