I'm not sure if any designers of the series reads from this forum but if they do I'm posting something that really cheese's me off. Why is it in the game you can make your own bread (You have to buy the wheat seeds, grow it, grind it into flour and then bake your own bread. Ok, i'll go along with that) so you can use bread in recipes but you can't grow your own rice when there are MORE rice recipes than there are recipes using bread??

Anyone who agrees that this is bogus, please post your stand. Also, if you feel like it, throw in anything else that cheese's you about this game so far.

Actually there are more recipes involving bread/flour then recipes involving rice/rice flour. There are something around 55 recipes that call for bread/flour and 35 that call for rice ingredients. Besides, I'm sure Marvelous doesn't take the time to read this forum. They have better things to do. They know they're not going to please everyone when they make game, but at least they try.

ok I looked again and you are right about flour being used more but I still think it would be cool to grow your own rice.

...and I know that not every game is going to please everyone Xp

Yeah, I agree with you.
It's quite annoying for me, since there are many of rice recipe I wanted to make and I have to wait until it was sold in bazaar

thats ok in animal parade you spend 24 k on a mill and cant make your own bird feed .....

I'm really bad at cooking in HM so I normally just stick to the really easy things to do (or things that I remember). xD
Though I personally hated growing Rice in IoH. It just seemed to take really long. D:

Well it could be worse in another way. In Animal Parade, you can only make dishes one at a time.

So picture you have a whole field of cabbage, and 12 grow at the same time. Cabbage rolls right? You're gonna be there for a while.

Also to people who complain about the lack of a mine, you clearly don't get how much data goes into a harvest moon game. There is just no room anywhere on the cartridge even for a single floor mine.

And that's saying something considering the DS cartridges can actually hold slightly more data than the old, bulky n64 cartridges could.

I love the irony in this thread's topic name.

But anyways, the whole rice vs flour doesn't really peeve me, since I rarely cook.

I just really want the mines back!! Those make me a lot of money and its an easy way to pass time.

I miss the days when I could just BUY bread and rice.

ugh tell me about it. and, so many of the recipies sell for less than the price of the ingredients sold separately

i loved the mines in FoMT
and i miss being able to but bread and wine and stuff
i have just started this game
and i like it
but compaired to the older HM games i know im not going to get as into it as i did with FoMT, DS, DS cute,and IoH.
i got really into those
but this one is very different

I agree about the thing with the mines too...the stuff with the ore stone is soo annoying >.<... But truthfully I don't think a petetion done by the fans o0f the localised version to the developers is going to do any good as:
1) Their target market is Japanese and
2) They don't make as much money off the localised version compared to the Japanese version
and a petition to Natsume wouldn't do any good either, as they only localise the games and probably does not have the right to make any changes that can be considered too major to the game without getting permission first and it is not very likely the developers would allow this...so all in all you're better off doing something else...
