basement crop question

is it a bad idea to put trees in basement sincei cant fertilize during flowering? thanks, would love to know before i cut down my strawberry patch :lol:

No I would NOT do that. The tree wouldn't be able to be fertilize there fore wielding low rated fruit

I'd only do it if you have high level seeds. The basement can be used for trees, but since they take up space I'd either get 5-star seeds from a wifi trade or level them up outside first.

Right, if I did it I would only use 5-star seeds (I think in my game I planted grape, muscat, and tea trees down there so I could get the produce year-round).

But there is one more thing to consider - even after a tree reaches 5-star quality, it seems that fertilizing it helps ensure that you get 3 fruit/leaves from it. So being in the basement without fertilizer might mean that you only get one fruit/leaf per harvest. I don't know for sure that this would happen in the basement because I finished the game before my basement trees fully matured, but I know that it does happen in the outside fields.
