Why is this game coming out for two systems?

I was just wondering, why are they releasing the same game for 3DS and DS? DS games are already compatible with the 3DS so why would there be a need to release two versions?

You can play DS games on the 3DS without any pixelation. I do all the time. All you have to do is immediately after selecting the on the 3DS screen is hold down select and start (I've also heard that you only need to hold one, but I tend to hold both down). The game looks just fine after that.

what saruki said. They're just trying to make more money by selling to a wider audience. Plus it's a bit more fair.

Yes, that and also to probabl show that HM is eventually going to break off from the DS and to test the game in general in 3D but also to keep it on the traditional system for now.

I remember that was in nintendo power! I have actually never tried it though, none of the DS games I have played on the 3DS have been very pixelated.

Regardless of pixelation or no pixelation, even if the 3DS version has 3D effects, it will pretty much be the same game, for $10 more. Why would anyone want to buy it?
