I just hope that even if they are stingey with the guys this time around(not likely since we can be a girl from the start) they at least give us some good non-human choices. Like a couple smexy dwarves like Gauis.;3

But seriously, even factoring HM games into account, the guys always end up with more interesting choices. Princesses, witches, godesses, mermaids, elves and all that stuff. If the race exist in the game universe, the guy most likely will get to marry a female one, while the girls will be lucky to even get male eyecandy to stare at. And since they finally introduced the draven race in rf3 with 2 smokin examples, as well as a univir hotty, I'd hate for them to start chucking out run of the mill humans again at the very mention of a female player like they did in RFO. But then, that game was like a trial run for girls side of things, soone could argue they just didn't have the room to put a more special guy in it. But they could have just as easily made Joe an elf or dwarf or something since his father already looks like a dwarf as it is. That might have mde me actually like Joe if they did that, since I can't stand him much otherwise.

Bathscence would totally be awesome. Ohhh, what about swimsuits? Or trunks, for the guys. But we'll be able to see who has the best body when they're revealed.

I would love to see a dwarf bachelor. I don't think it'd be too hard for them to come up with another dwarf, so I hope for the best.

I'm really loving the female protag. now that I've seen her anime pic. ^^ After being compared to Miku, I can't say I was that thrilled about her, and I hoped she was tan (which she clearly is in her concept drawing), but getting a better look at her, I think I may end up really liking her. :D At first I was annoyed she was drawn with a watering can and was thinking, "I'll bet the guy has a sword instead," but then I saw that he had a bag of seeds. So it's all good.

That was one beautiful waterfall, and now I'm pretty confident about the fighting/farming aspects of the game. The giant crops look fun, and I think I'll enjoy playing as twintail girl in battle. ^^

Boy, I bet I sound pathetic.

I can't really see Joe as an elf, but I could see James as at least a pirate. Maybe even an elf pirate like Zere. Oh well, I'm still happy they even did a trial run. Plus, I can always give him a pirate hat and pretend he's one if I want. x3

The graphics look pretty decent for a DS game and for what the RF games usually look like. Also, the female protagonist's design doesn't bother me as much once I see her full view. Not my favorite design ever, but I guess I can live with it.

THE RF WORLD IS MADE UP OF ALL SORTS OF CREATURES, INCLUDING HUMANS.
Just cause the only three-four bachelors RF has had for marry are humans doesn't mean it's going to be the end of the world. Plus, we've had cool bachelors in HM before. Just cause they aren't magical doesn't mean they aren't awesome.

Anyway, I just pray for a unique batch bachelors. They don't have to be good looking, (although to be honest they ALL are good looking and none of them are ugly yet, it just may not be everyone's taste) but as long as they don't bore me to tears or piss me off, I'll be happy.

However, I do hope that we get at least one or two non-human bachelors.

Female protag is alright, with the exception of her boob tassles. Never going to get over that. Les/t is okay except he looks like he is five. I don't need a male protag to be manly, but at least let him be age appropriate.

@Cherry Rose: Doubt it for the Magaret being the main girl. Because since we now have both male and female protags, I doubt we will have a main girl anymore. There may be a girl or guy more plot based, but I doubt the game will push us to marry the cover girl like they did in the past. Magaret is just the first bachelorette released in full detail as is the Bishnal guy.

@Ranger In that case, I'm even more excited. I thought they might be showing Margaret special attention since she's in two different animated scenes, but if there's no main heroine, then that might mean each bachelor(ette) being in both the opening and the greeting scene. :'D

Well, that's what they did for RFO and somewhat for RF3, only in RF3 a few girls got a decent close up in the first opening, and for the second opening, they all appeared in it, but Shara got the main canon wife happy time with Micah. Which was really really really really really really really stupid of Neverland/Marvelous since not everyone married Shara and was totally awkward/unfair when we saw her prancing around to « Snuggly Bunny » beautiful/sweet music when we married another « Snuggly Bunny » girl.

After having another look at the male MC's pic, I think it's clear that the large eyes make all the males look so feminine. I kinda prefer having a male lead with smaller eyes...

Colors look great on the screencaps so far.

Didn't an article say that you could plant anywhere aside from fields? That, and that you could choose what to build in your town reminds me of the elements in HM:MM, where you could plant in other areas as long as no one owns the land, and the building part was restricted to things for yourself.

I don't necessarly think it's his large eyes that make him more feminine (although they don't help) but more that his large eyes make him younger. In many ways, his whole design makes him seem feminine (small frama, baby faced, soft hair, etc.).

@Ranger For the girls, anyway. But even though there were only 3 of them, Bismark, Joe, and James were never animated. So the possibility of these guys being animated twice makes me very happy. :D

I agree on the Shara thing. That opening had the best music, but I always covered the screen when Shara came on. They should've just had a lot of her in the 1st one, gotten that out of the way, and have a second ending with all the girls, not focusing on any couple. It could've worked.

@ZaFreed Yeah, that's was Japanese artists typically do to make characters look older, make their eyes smaller. I think he looks a bit better animated though. Not sure why. His eyes looked more serious, I guess?

Their pretty much just standing in the background, but nonetheless they are animated.

For RF3, it would've been MORE realistic/awesome if they'd just make an opening for whichever girl you married. And if they wanted to be real weirdos, they could've had the first opening focus on Shara.

Personally, Frey and Sonja have the same amount of femininity to me. Pink hair appears more stereotypical girly, while the same goes for twintails and the twintails make the MC look ten times younger.
