I always have a basic idea of the storyline and ending, before buying a game. Thats how I'd know I'm interested. D:
For me, the fun is seeing how they get there and experiencing the little things along the way. ^_^
Well, for rpgs, anyway.
It's different for things like action games. .-.

If I didn't know the storyline, why would I buy a game? I would've been able to buy like, 30 parfaits from McDonald's for that money. 30. « Snuggly Bunny ». PARFAITS.

On a relative note, I wonder what the big important plot will be. Because falling out of an airship doesn't cut it for me.

.-.

It probably had to do with the kingdom you take care of.
And that makes me think of how easy it would be to do a simple boring story.
But, I dont know... I'm not a story writer...
it would be very anti climactic to give a simple story. D:

Of that's the case, then they really need to be a little more creative. The falling out an airship bit is fine since it isn't too overdone, just kind of silly. Well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see how it all pans out?

Personally, I'd love it if it would be that the dragon comes back and is all like "M'kayyoudon'tneedtobeprince/ssnao" but you grow attached to the job and the people at the villager and you refuse, causing you and the dragon to duel it off. If you win against the dragon, you can remain as the royal there.

It's a bit selfish plot, but it's more realistic.

watch it be oh so boring at first and then later you get smacked in the face... like Venny needing all those people you brought in so he could feed off their life force or something crazy like that :D

That wouldn't be a bad plot. :T
I'm sure they could make it unselfish.. Like.. The dragon could get upset woth your success (he couldve put you there, thinking you'd do a horrible job and bring ruin to the kingdom, which makes sense seeing as you have amnesia, or he could just be jealous of you..)
Or maybe, he ends up wanting to replace you with someone evil (which brings in a truly evil character, like everyone wanted).

Seems possible to me, but who knows?

Haha, I wouldn't mind the story having a slow start, only to have things get epic. xD

I doubt he would get upset at your sucess. I mean, he might, but it seems that he put you there AS a way to keep the village running and doing well. To me, the dragon might just serve as an observer/protector of the village versus a leader. Kind of like local deities for the Shinto religion.

I'm still thinking that you are replacing a previous « Puppy Doodoo »-tastic prince/ss that the Dragon got tired of watching them bring the village down...so temporarily replaced you until the real prince/ess learns to act up.

But lord knows what'll happen. Either way, I want something to do after marriage/main plot.

Thats true.. Most of the dragons seem more like protecters :T

Yeah, thats a common complaint amongst people..
Even though it wasn't a plot, the dungeons underneath your house in rf3 really extended the game for me, but I have a feeling that thats not what everyone else had in mind. Cx

Eh. I personally loved it. And even after beating the underground dungeon, I enjoyed battling the other bosses afterwards. Wasn't that hard as I was expecting, but whatever. I was content. Plus, the ending was just so damn moving.

I kinda agree with you there. :T But still, being an RF fan, I simply could not play the game XD. And I am not the person who thinks too much of the plot because I am already jaded with cliches since I became a gamer at the age of 12 and read TVtropes everyday XD. I focus on the combat more...mhhhmmm as long as I can kill someone I am oh so fine... *shot*

LOL that sounded brutal LOL.
