Why do people prefer girl babies over boy babies?

I prefer the girl sprite over the boy. That's really the only reason I want a girl. The boy just looks way too much like Kevin.

But why should you care what other people prefer/want? Its just a game.

I know but the first post just seemed like they were taking about real children rather than game children. :/ It's not like the MC really "nurtures" the child anyway. You kinda just have a kid, occasionally speak at it and give it stuff. Idk if that makes anymore sense...

Yeah that's true. Some people get really attached to a pile of pixels, though. I get so attached to some Pokemon I cant put em away in pc boxes.. They'll be sad!

I don't think I've ever had too much of a problem with Pokemon.

They are just a pile of pixels, which I understand. It seems like girls want girl babies just because their girls. My friend Tia told me this one time:

I want 2 children, a boy and a girl. I want the boy first though, so that way when my daughter's heart is broken by her boyfriend, my boy can go beat him up.

It makes it sound like boys are material items. But back to Harvest Moon.

The only game where I really prefer one over the other is DS Cute, but that's only because I really don't like the son's hairstyle. In most other games I could care less.

In any case, even if there was one I was hoping to get, I just live with it if I don't.

Only in AP and (IIRC) HM3. In GrB you only spawn once.

In A Wonderful Life, I think you can only have boys. But I'm actually very shocked to see how many people prefer boy babies over girls! I'll love my baby like a real one, but if I could choose ... I'd probably want a son. In AP (Why I am talking about this game on a GB thread?) I'm letting Anissa choose which gender my babies are.

So yup. Are there any girl preferring mothers/fathers out there?

In HM AWL special edition there was a chance of the child being a girl (you can choose if u harrase Mr Pots). i got the girl child cause i only remembered that i could do that after i got to 2nd chapter

in AP i didnt reallyh care when it was the 2nd child

as far as the HM games go, i started playing the SNES version, and for a while, at least, you could only have boys. the newer games have since changed but the first five or so HM games i played, boys were the only option. thats probably why i tend to lean towards the girl lately.

I have a son in SI (called him Anakin ...star wars fan what can i say? haha) but I havent got any children yet in GrB. (just got married to Ivan)
i guess the boy does look a bit like kevin...but they're both adorable ^_^

Personally, I love both genders, and I don't really care which one I get. But I kind of care because I've been playing these games for a long time, and haven't had a girl since Harvest Moon 3.

Actually SNES and HM GBC 3 you could have a girl but it was still calld by the boy pronoun
