Their are multiple reasons why people prefer having a daughter in HM.

1) Not many games allow you to have a daughter, recently the newer ones have been letting you have that option. I have only had 1 daughter out of the 7 HMs I own and that was in ToT (actually 2, but my character in MFoMT is still pregnant, and I don't count that as a daughter because it's the same sprite from FoMT.)

2) Some people prefer one sprite over the other. I like the girl in GrB better cause she is blonde, and doesn't look like the normal Kevin look a like boy. In ToT, I married Candace, and I could not stand the boy model of her child so I had a girl.

3) Believe it or not, some people prefer one « Chicken Hugging » as opposed to another. If we want to get technical here, people usually prefer boys since people discovered agriculture and labor. And, it's just a game, we know we can't reset in real life, and we won't, but it's just pixles. It's not like your friends hate boy babies and want them to dissapear, they just want the girl cause it's cuter and better appealing to them.

(For the record, I am a person who prefers having daughters in the HMs/RFs that allow me to do so. )

I think people prefer girls just because only in the recent HM games do you have the chance to have a girl. Before you got a boy no matter what. I personally don't care what gender it is

This. In all the other games I've played (except MFoMT) the child was a boy so in Grand Bazaar I'll reset for a girl just for a change. :]

I honestly don't care what gender pops out. Well, except in Cute. After being forced to have a son in all the older games, I wanted to have a girl already OKAY

In the game for the boy I had a boy and his name was Peter.
Personally, I just think the girl is just the cutest little thing, and I love her hair.
It's not that I think the buy isn't cute, I just think the girl is adorible. And at first, I wasn't gonna see what they looked like when they grow up, but an accident happened and I saw.

I don't want ether I don't usally play long enough to actually GET a child. but if I ever do I want it to be a girl because it was only resently that the HM games would LET you play as a girl or you would have to wait longer to get the girl version. So by that terms that is the only reason I want a girl is because when HM first started you only had the choise of boy on nothing. OH and cus the girl pixle tends to be cuter.

In theory, I don't mind which gender child I get. They're both equally adorable and sweet. However, I usually like to see what the child looks like when it grows up. If I prefer one over the other, I'll hope for that one. In a fair few of the games, I don't have a preference, but in GB, I prefer the girl sprite. Like others have said, the boy sprite is way too similar to Kevin; if he had been a little more original, I wouldn't have cared. Lo and behold, I made sure I got a girl. >.>

And I think 'son of a farmer' is a cuter addition to the family than a daughter.
