@Osuchin: the more you theorize, the more likely you'll hit the mark :'D
i'd love to build up a castle! it would probably be a lot of work, but it would be worth it~
wasn't what's-his-face from RFF stuck in the Forest of Beginnings too?

But the task is not yet done, while the monster populations and aggression in the forest may have returned to normal, there are many more places in which the problem is repeating. One by one your brave these dungeons, destroying the devices, and each time the Sech general appears mocking your efforts, and actually seems pleased in your actions. Finally with the last dungeon secured you return home to find the Sech general and several soldiers are already there. They have used the energy from your fights to brainwash the dragon and say that you to prepare, for soon your village protector will be its destroyer, he then rides the dragon out of the village to the last dungeon, where you follow it. When you reach the final chamber the dragon is fighting the brainwashing. But unable to fight any longer, pleads for you to defeat it. Do you mean Gelwin?
Spoiler:
He was stuck in the Era of Disconnect or something like that
Good idea making lest/Frey part of the Sech. I would be really happy if that actually happened.
You did A really good job making it a complete plot . You're so good at this ^^
And yeah for the enemy actually doing something .

Not to mention the villagers recognizing your acheivements. Rather then just talking about it in passing. I mean who doesn't love a celebration in their honor?
By the way anyone think Rowanon, one of the villains I posted in my Rune Factory Villain Concepts and Ideas! thread, should have been the Sech general? I didn't do it because he might be too evil and is not canon. But I want to know what you think.

That is always nice. I like when they notice all the things you do.
A celebration is fine and dandy but they should create a whole festival in your honor XD.
It could be called the Thank The Flippin Prince/Princess Who Saved All Your Lives Festival.
I always thought an RF game needed something like that. And then generations from then people would still be celebrating but it would have become just a legend that not everyone believed.
Sounds good to me. He seems to fit the bill. As long as he still comes to negotiate things.

lol Xd this is hilarious!
Actualy, they said something about there being a ranking system for how good a ruler you are, right? So maybe if you don't reach a certain point by the end of the plotline you get
Spoiler:
sent to the dungeons
It's an idea ^_^

Googaboga's and Osuchin's Rune Factory 4 Epilogue Theory
Spoiler:
Perhaps a festival could be declared a year after the treaty signing. The treaty signing event could be delayed till a date that didn't land on someone's birthday or another festival , so it wouldn't create a conflict. After the signing the largest of all the plot celebrations could occur. And come the next year, the people enjoyed it so much it is made an official festival to mark your victory and Selfia's rise to full nationhood. And as an honor you get to name the festival .
I have also gone back and added a version with Rowanon in it, above the original for people to enjoy. Its not much but it give the general some character.

Haha that's funny Souja X3.
I like that Osu. Those poor MCs never get enough credit. I'm sure they'll never give them a whole festival in a real game but this sounds cool anyways.
I hope people notice what you do in RF4.

Seen that the idea of the MC being from the Sech Empire is pretty popular...
What if the MC is from the Sech Empire, but you were a deserter who was running away on the airship because they were chasing after you? So you have an accident, lose your memory, arrive to the village, etc. They could also put in the dungeons that machines from RF1 to control the monster and try to eliminate you.
What do you think

That doesn't sound like a bad idea to me.
That way at least it is understandable that they are a good person with their memories gone. It would kinda suck to know your good friend (or even your spouse) is only the person he/she is because they lost their memories. And if it wasn't for that accident they would be a completely different person.
I don't mind it either way though XD

But memory loss can change a person's perspective. Even after regaining it. Thats why I had the player in the theory as evil at the start. That way it gave you a real reason to want to help. As a redemption for your past mistakes sort of thing. Not that Dana's idea isn't good too.

I just meant from the villagers perspective. It's not nice to know your friend was and could have easily still been a horridly evil person if it wasn't for that one indecent. I prefer them being evil at the start but I doubt the villagers would XD.

This brings an interesting thought to mind...Lest and Frey in Sech uniforms. With cold emotionless stares. I know its not likely and I had a hard time imagining at first, considering the innocent way they appear. But now that I have it in my head, they would make great evil characters appearance-wise

Hmm yeah they actually would X3.
I am getting too attached to this idea of them being bad guys ;_;
