Well I tought that maybe they were just simple soldiers who found out their superior's plan (It could be the plot of RF4?) and the Sech are trying to eliminate them because they think they'll reveal and put in danger their plan. So they wouldn't be really evil, they were just following orders until they found that.

Yay I know what you mean. And it sounds possible. It's a good idea.

It is possible and a good idea, but it did make me think of a little bit of back story for my theory.
Like many soldier in the Sech army Lest or Frey would have been enticed by the nationism and Manifest Destiny, of thinking their nation has the greatest way of life and that it must be spread to other kingdoms. I could see Lest at least being an officer and Frey as a regular soldier, just because what we know is that Lest seems to enjoy the idea of leading, while Frey is not that confortable with it. It could be a subconscious remnant from their former life. But I could see your idea being worked in for the other MC. As they could have escaped from the Empire and sought refuge amongst their enemy. That was why the dragon was ready and waiting when the Sech first attacked and would give the other MC a reason to bond with the player early on, despite not knowing each other prior. It also implies the Sech don't really believe that they themselves are evil, even though everyone else does.
But on a more serious note, I would love to see the amnesia plot to come full circle. So far each MC(apart from Azel/Sonia) has lost their memory and in each of the numerical games they get more back then the last. Raguna got next to nothing. Kyle remembered his mission. Micah remembered some of his past. I hope Lest/Frey recover their full memories this time around. And maybe we will get to see cameo appearance of the other three, finally getting their memories back as well. I really want to find out who they used to be. Especially Raguna. Is he Norad's lost prince and Ivan's brother(as hinted in RF1's ending), a knight, or a Sech soldier(some part of me just suspects Kross was covering for him)?
So many questions, I can't wait to learn the answers.

i can't wait to figure out all the little plot holes too >.< and since you PM'd me such a great idea, i'll quote it here~

Part time job mini games. Ideas such a store clerk, having to memorize orders. Craftsmen jobs in which you have to either hit specific buttons or move your 3DS in the right motion to cut down trees and break rocks. For the inn, cooking mini games, choosing where to cut vegetable, rolling dough, ect. If there is a tailor type character like in RF3, the idea of being a model(not the walking type but design type), in which you had to tilt the 3DS to keep form fidgeting, with sudden pricks from the needle to add difficulty.
that was great~ thanks! you're a great idea maker!

More job mini game ideas.
How about the idea of training alongside the guard job(for moral support). Bishnal is your boss since he supposedly has a connection with the military. You are given a series of orders(buttons to press) and must press them in the correct order each time.
Maybe the doctor's assistant. You have to retrieve a specific type of plant for the medicine. Or you are given a mini game where you have to shoot the the ingredient in the cauldron, like a basketball(because its may be too dangerous to be too close).
As for more festival ideas people talked about a music festival so what about a dancing based romance festival, in which you dance alongside a chosen love interest. You would either have to time a series of buttons as they scroll across the screen, perhaps DDR-style. Or if they could properly utilize the 3DS's motion sensing capabilities they could have you follow the right movements. Though this might seem a little akward. Your reward for doing well a large boost to your partners relationship. Doing very bad causes you to lose some.
Anyone else got anymore ideas for festival and part-time job mini games?

All those ideas sound really awesome. The dancing festival could be like on Paper Mario and The Thousand Year Door where you had to press the buttons to make peach dance.

Mana suggested a swimming mini game.
I could see it happening as acting as someone's(who is obsessed with staying in shape) personal trainer, acting as competition. Mash the buttons to swim faster, but watch your stamina.
They could even use it in the Summer Beach Festival. You can use the job for practice and then come festival time must compete for the prize.
Oh and while its a little late for the discussion on the weather disasters in game.
I could see in addition to hurricanes/tornadoes, you could get floods in spring. That innocent stream next to your farm, which you used to supply it life, quickly drowns your plants. The town would also be flooded. On the upside after it subsides those plants that survived probably would not need to be watered for a few days and your soil would be extra fertile. Maybe you can get very windy days on rare occasions in which dirt gets kicked up and your movement in the town gets slowed. Or a regular thunderstorm that isn't part of a disaster, for at least esthetic purposes.
While I know earthquakes have been in RF before maybe you can get a one time earthquake scene in which various buildings get damaged and you can help repair the damages, to boost your relations with the townspeople. Of course like everyone wanted. All of these occur with sparse frequency.
SimpleLastWishes wrote:Bunny rabbit monsters? Wouldn't be too weird since we have pretty much everything else.
Here's an idea. How about it could be simply referred to as a greta. The greta is a very rare monster that only appears in the highest level winter dungeon. It appears like a white rabbit-like creature. It is not that strong and cannot help on the farm. But simply having one would ward away the effects of bad weather from your farm, such as crop damage from tornados.
The inspiration for the monster comes from the Scandinavian folktale Saving Spring. A lovely little tale you can find here: http://www.pantheon.org/areas/folklore/ ... pring.html.
Tell me if you like that idea. More monsters in the future, though probably not this original.

That is actually a very well researched and interesting idea. Their use on your farm would very well balance out all the tornadoes if they have as many as they did in RF3.

I know people are probably getting tired of my ideas and theories by now. But I here are some more if your interested.
Two more festivals
Spoiler:
One a monster judging competition. This would include the idea of monster accessories that could be equipped at the monster barn. Just to add more utility to your monsters. The monsters would be judged based on level, affection, value of their accessories, and as an obvious one health(no on wants to see a monster that looks all beat up). There also be different competitions based on ideas such as toughness and cuteness. In this case certain breeds and accessories would be favored over others.
Friendly fighting tournament. Since RF4 takes place in the ruling town of a kingdom I thought this idea would fit well. In this tournament there would be two to three rounds. In which you get to fight other villagers, possibly only certain fight oriented ones, but I could be include all of them drawn at random. When a character hit 0 hp they collapse and stars would float around their heads(with spirals in their eyes) to signify they have been knocked out. This could also include the idea of team battle in which you and either another character or monster assuming their affection for you is high enough can fight alongside you in a 2v2 match up. This idea is unlikely but it would still be interesting to see how you match up against the other villagers.
I came up with this idea from the discussion that took place earlier today in the Rune Factory Announced??? thread. In which members expressed their hopes for a doctor bachelor. Its not normally something I do, but I took up the challenge and created a concept. After posting several pieces I decided to compile them and here they are. Credit goes to hoshiko and Saki for the idea that got me started.
Spoiler:
He could be a considerate, semi-serious, though slightly joking type with a little bit of anger based out of concern for his patients. With a deep passion for medicine and discovering new treatments. His skills in medicine are great though have caused him to have a little bit of an ego. He has a deep rooted distrust of magic based on a sad event in his past.
When he was young he was born into a family of magic users. He was trained by his mother in the practice of healing magic and was brought up to believe it to be a powerful force that could make the impossible happen. But one day his mother became very ill. No matter how hard he tried his magic could not cure her and after a time she pass away. Distraught he turned from magic, believing it had failed to live up to his mothers descriptions. He turned to medicine in hopes of one day finding a cure in science, for the disease his mother had, that magic could not heal.
He is fairly tall with short and slightly messy reddish-brown hair. He has blue eyes with narrow square-shaped glasses that he usually keeps on top of his head, except when reading things or helping a patient. He is a bit sensitive about them, due to being teased as child, and will often get angry if asked about them. Despite his distrust of magic he keeps a small talisman around his neck as a memento of his mother. He looks clean though slightly unkept. As he often neglects himself and his own well being, spending time doing research and attending to that late night medical emergency, even well passed the hospitals closing time.
The love rival for him could be a female mage. Who he often gets into arguments over science vs. magic. You know the opposites attract sort of thing.
Two more love interests(one for each gender), with one created from the basis mentioned by Tsukimi in the Desired Bachelor/ettes thread. They are both apprentices to a master magician living in Selfia. Hope you like it.
Spoiler:
The bachelor could be upbeat and have eager attitude, but is easily depressed when things fail for him. He is a hard worker and is diligent, but often tries too hard and is too impatient, which causes many of his spells to backfire horribly. His teacher is very strict on him, but fully believes he has the potential to become a great magician.
A half-elf who looks younger then he actually is. With light brown hair and large green eyes. He dresses in decorate robes passed down from his human grandfather, though they seem a size too large and bears some luminescent ritual markings on his forehead.
Through his event requests you help him to become a better mage by doing things like collecting ingredient, give advice, and sometimes just hearing him out and giving words of encouragement. By the end will not have surpassed his master but will have surpassed his fellow apprentice and be given acknowledgement that he has sought for.
His fellow apprentice is a young girl who though she looks older than him she is in fact younger. She has fairly long crimson red hair and brown eyes. She can be a little sarcastic and some times verbally abusive and likes to play tricks on people(though not based in malice). In contrast with her fellow apprentice she has less potential, but is quick to learn and master her teachings, something she likes to boast about. She is very fond of magic and takes a more hands on approach then her compatriot.
Her robes are more simple in decoration but actually seem like they were designed to fit her. The ritualistic markings on her only appear on the left side of her face. She has a bit of a tsundere persona towards the MC if they play as Lest.
She is in fact the love rival for the doctor concept mentioned above.
Anyway that’s it for today. Probably more tomorrow. I still have plenty of ideas if people still want to hear them.

Those sound a little complex compared to other RF contests but fun :D.
And he seems like a nicely developed character.

Thanks you two. The self pity wasn't really serious. Thought I was coming off as a little arrogant and wanted to even it out with some humility. I guess I took it too far, sorry about that. Still, thanks. Its always good to hear your opinions. I am already starting on some more ideas for monster that I hope to post later today, probably not till late.
