Does anyone else feel it's cumbersome to take care of chickens, cows and sheep everyday? I feel like it's such a task before I can do the fun parts of talking to the villagers. :/

i stopped brushing my animals since their heart levels increase fast enough for me. I only milk and shear them whenever possible. i have my dogs and cats to bring them outside.

At the beginning I brushed all my animals until they got up to 10 hearts and then I stopped. I always only used my cats and dogs to take the animals out and bring them in, even if the cats and dogs couldn't handle all of them. If the pet didn't bring them out, they just stayed in the barn all day.

But later, once I had more animals to navigate around (and eventually I did fill up the barn completely) I just didn't brush at all. Like CherryChristmas said, their affection goes up fast enough with just feeding and milking/shearing. Though if I ended up with spare time at the end of the day, before the animals fell asleep, I might brush them just because. ^_^

I brush occasionally, but only the ones that aren't up to 10 hearts. I also talk/brush/milk every day and sheer when need be.

Sure, I suppose it takes a little while to milk, but compared to the time it takes in DS Cute, it's a cakewalk.

i do that exactly :P
i just find it takes to much time to brush and since i do all my chores in the morning, its almost like a race against the dogs and cats so that i can finish my chores and have my animals ready before the dogs and cats come out
