i have no idea TBH, but Natsume did take out stuff from the japanese releases for one reason or another so why shouldn't they be allowed to change something as small as the controls?

Natsume is only allowed to translate, correct? Also, controls are a huge part of any game; if the controls are frustrating, do you think you would enjoy the game?

I don't know if they are only allowed to translate but they do change stuff because of localization issues, the ucho brothers' sprites in HM:GB and the best friend system from HMDSC. Regarding the controls, i meant small in a programming-related sense. I don't think it would take too much additional code to change that since they could actually almost copy-paste it from GB.

Natsume can take small portions of the game out, but they can never add anything to the game, including controls. While controls are easy to change, you must pose the question; Why would they want to change them? Japanese DSs are not different from European and American ones in buttons.

Ok, because i am tired of answering questions and i am starting to feel trolled:
i have absolutely no idea what Natsume is allowed to do and what they are not allowed to do.
Go ask someone who works for Natsume.
A good amount of people's L/R shoulder buttons are busted. you need to hold down the L shoulder button in order to run in the jap version. I have read on these forums that some people decided not to get the game because of that. Guess what that means? If the controls stay the same, Natsume will lose sales. Additionally, the 3DS version of ToTT has an animal petting mini-game and street pass. Guess what happened? Natsume added stuff.

What are you so upset about? I'm sorry if I appeared to be, "trolling," but none of it was intended. I think that maybe you misread what I typed or took what I said personal for some reason. Excuse me for wasting your time. Sorry, it was my mistake for asking questions in a help forum.
