Well, Sherry's favorite Gift is herb salad, ( Made with Mint + Chamomile + Lavender in the pot cooking utensil.) which will get you 800 friendship points with her. (And, for that matter, her "Horror" item is Spicy Curry. Avoid giving that to her.) As for simpler items (worth 500 FP) she likes ALmost anything that is pickled, (You can "pickle" items by using the fermenting windmill on your farm. This windmill will be unlocked as early as Spring 23.) Keep in mind Sherry HATES fish, so don't try to give any to her.

Before Sherry will accept your proposal, you have to befriend her father (Felix) and Lloyd to 30,000 Friendship points. The forth heart in your "Villagers" Booklet with appear when you've reached around 26,000 FP, so you'll still have to give daily gifts for a couple more weeks before you reach the required 30,000 FP. Don't forget to talk to her, Felix and Lloyd a few times a day! This will posibly earn you additional friendship points.

And just For a bit more help...

Felix likes: Alot of different kinds of Wine, Great Cheese, Great Herb Cheese... He also like most Curry dishes. (+500 FP)
Lloyd likes: Very..Very complicated things. You're better off giving him bugs and/or frogs (He likes ALL bugs and frogs.) but you'll only earn 150 FP. It will take around 1 week to earn 1000 friendship points with him (if you talk to him and give him daily gifts, anyway..) Which means it will take a full 30 weeks to reach 30,000 FP. (That's about 2 1/2 years in the game. Ugh!) Throughout you friendship you have a high chance of making extra FP for whatever reason, so just keep comited, and hopfully it won't take that long. (THis applies to ALL villagers, Bachelors and Bachelorettes.)
