Yeah I know what you mean. Currently the Idolm@ster series on Xbox 360 and PS3 is completely out of my reach since I don't have enough space to fit a complete entertainment system in my room. PSP on the other hand, I need to find out about regional locks and other matters on maintenance before considering getting one. I liked the three SP releases. Looks pretty interesting to play since it has a lot of mini games and quick wits on answering particulars throughout the career mode of the chosen idol.Genki Rocket wrote:I'm pretty interested in raising games in general! Sometimes I wish that too but for now I guess it's fine, somehow all the effort required in getting the games makes it even more exciting and fun when you get the games? Plus the PS3 release wouldn't require any sort of modding or console importing, after this I'm going to get SP and then the original, sadly the arcade versions are totally out of my reach.
Nice arrange of visual novel companies right there by the way! Finished "Itsuka, Todoku, Ano Sora Ni" by Lump of Sugar recently and it was much better than I expected! Also, if you haven't read visual novels by Liar-Soft yet, I'd recommend them greatly! The stories are very interesting, my favorites being Shikkoku no Sharnoth and Shiei no Sona Nyl~
I've played one of the Princess Maker series, can't remember which one, but it was fairly interesting. Still couldn't figure out the combat mechanics since I never used a walkthrough to get other endings that doesn't rely on it too much.
Sounds interesting though I probably need the Kanji, Harigana or Katakana for the game name to actually have look at it. I'll see if I can find it by other means though. I probably have a good idea though, might be in that pile. Although sounds pretty good from what I can tell when I read it aloud by Romaji and I have heard some of them at one point. I had a quick look at Liar-Soft and I would say... I'm interested but it would have to come after the 10 or something visual novels I'm trying to complete at the moment. Just few more path without the walkthrough for most of them since it's fairly easy for me to get through it for some reason.
From what I can tell with my understanding. "Itsuka, Todoku, Ano Sora Ni" goes by the following:
いつか、届く、あの空に.
Someday, I will reach, to that Sky.

If that's the case, it's has a pretty good plot and storyline. Problem is for me, I didn't know it existed until I went through their database in the site I usually visit for the particular upcoming. Probably need to search the old corner for it since its been out for a while. If you liked that one, perhaps Hello; Goodbye would be an interesting, fairytale like, visual novel you want to go through although it follows a more modern way to stimulating the audience. I don't really have a favorite one since I just basically enjoyed all the visual novels I read so far. I can't remember the one that was fairly old CG but had moments where your heartstrings get pulled by the way they unfold the ending. Gin iro or something along those lines. I had it in my collection somewhere. Oh Prism Ark (aka Prism Heart 2) was insanely fun when you use their secret combos. Entertaining to say the least.
