Oh. My. Jezus.
Your child pulls and Ash Katchum. Ash would be technically be 31-32 at this moment in time.
This takes a whole new meaning to '40 year old virgin'. All my son does all day is walk around the table. Why not go hook up with Kate or witchy? Or get a job? Hell, I don't give a « Puppy Doodoo » if my son moves to mineral town and never visits. It's better than having a 40 year old living in your house, saying the SAME thing everyday. =P

Totally. I mean, I like the kids, but everyone in town needs to have like, 5 sets of dialogue and switch it up.
First of all they don't have some proper council or anything - it's just a mayor. Are there ever elections held?
If we assume that the mayor's family is indeed just descended from each other (if you believe in the HM64 canon that Mary is Thomas's daughter, and her ancestor was Maria in the original SNES HM, who was also the mayor's daughter in that game...).
meaning there's some messed up « Cow Poopoo » going on here in terms of politics in mineral town since it seems to be more based on an heir if anything
Also more reasons why Harris being a policeman makes no sense - considering there's no actual police station around to report to, nor are we given any indication that he calls back to a chief or something, he just goes back home.
these are more like plot holes than irony fffuuu sorry

that lave the question of who's running Flowerbud village now that Theodore is running a circus
All this talk about mayors made me think of something..
Considering Thomas is the mayor of Mineral Town, why does he personally come to Forget-Me-Not Valley, just to pick up your shipped stuff? Takakura's right there, taking up space on the farm being useless, so it would make more sense for him to do it. Not the only political figure from the next town over, which just so happens to be separated from your town by a freakin' MOUNTAIN.. o.e;
Hell, why does Thomas hold the majority of events as well? Does he secretly own Forget-Me-Not Valley and tells nobody? Or is he just sick of Mineral Town..?

I think he does that because it's implied that hes the Harvest King... and he can teleport xD

Lol oh gosh I forgot about that whole thing about him being the Harvest king.. xD I remember people talking about it when I started lurking the forums back in... 2008, I think..?
When you look at it that way, I guess everything does make sense. ._.

And he still sleeps between his parents. I think he has SERIOUS issues.
Ah, the Harvest King theories...good times, good times...
But yeah, I think it's really stupid that Thomas has to do the shipping. Not only does it make Takakura even more useless, it makes Thomas seem like kind of a joke of a character.

Not that that's the worst thing in the world...
Oh Tak. You were somewhat useful to me in AnWL. I wish he would die instead of Nina (not that I want anyone to) :'( or at least move out so your kid can take the house
this isnt about mayors or anything but it IS hm irony... how your spouse will not leave the house with you at starry night festival until when your child is a teen and 'can look after itself'.... yet most of the time while your out farming and going around all the valley they go off to mineral town, possibly leaving your TODDLER in care of the house... until you come home to find it standing in front of the table and asking you to give it a hug.
I just thought of another one. During the Fireworks festival you watch the fireworks with Kassey and... other Kassey (forgot his name) if you don't/can't ask anyone else. That's all well and good, but... if they're there, then who's setting off the fireworks? >_>;
