He's a big jerk. And not only is he a super jerk, he's a super jerk that won't work with any rival >:C! All the marriage candidates have rivals, except for him. He works with no one. Cause he sucks so much >:T. That's the one bachelorette I'm missing. I need some girl to be his rival but I can't think of any type of girl who would go well with that jerk DX.

Okay ^^. I'd love to have some help. I can't give you all his info since it will spoil other characters. But I can give you some of it.

Here is what I can tell you:

Rival: Currently, no one (Gahh this doofus doesn't seem to work with anyone DX)
Dante lives in another town. He gives a very bad first impression. He is the type of person you'd hope to never run into again. But a short time after that first meeting Dante comes to the town the MC lives in. But even though it is just a visit and he only stays in town a few days a week, he has an entire mansion built for him to stay in. He also brings numerous servants to stay there and wait on him hand and foot. Dante thinks of people as objects. He thinks of his servants like are some kind of collection. Dante believes that anything and anyone can be bought if you're willing to offer enough. He treats people especially his servants terribly. Everyone is too afraid to do anything about it because it would be easy for Dante to use his wealth to ruin their life. If he wanted Dante could buy their home and leave them with nowhere to go or use underhanded tactics to get them fired. Because he can (and will) do something like that everyone avoids him. Besides "collecting" servants he also has a large collection of material objects as well. His prized possessions are his vast amounts of armor. He has no interest in weapons. Just armor.

Hmmmmm, sounds like a guy with no redeeming qualities, except I picture him extreeeemley good looking, so he would have fan girls. xD

Hm. I can think about it, but I think I picture.. A strong willed girl who doesn't take « Puppy Doodoo », but isn't really harsh, but then I'm afraid of the chances for a Mary-Su, haha. xT

Yep that was the goal XD. He's rich and handsome and that's pretty much all he's got going on for him. But making a believable pairing with someone like that is hard.

That girl's name is Ciel? :D That's the (nick)name of the first girl I made for the settlement. My Ciel has blue hair as well. I really like the design of this Ciel, though. It does remind me a bit of Sylphy. Out of curiosity, what is Hexyz Force about?

Well, you can draw her with purple hair if you want to, but I was thinking more style-wise than color. Though I bet having purple somewhere in her design would look nice. Anyway, I was just thinking more that her off-to-the-side hair and clothing style might fit her character well. But I'd rather you draw her however you want, as your designs have always impressed me in the past. ^^ I'm sure that even if she looked nothing like Odette, I'd love it.

Do you have something to say about my precious Eric? Do you dare doubt he would make an amazing couple with Alice in his glorious male form? D:< /no *passes the tissues*

Okay, I think I'll make that my goal then. x3 My main concern is their similarities with Thespian. I created them both before reading about him, but they both have something in common with him. Snap also acts like the members of the settlement (although what he does is mimic the attitude and behavior of whoever he is currently talking to, never showing his true personality), while Willow is a famous actress as well. I might change Willow's occupation though to add more variety, if I can think of an alternative. But I could also leave it that way and have her look up to Thespian as a fellow actor. I guess Snap's imitations aren't too similar to what Thespian does, so that might be okay.

Eh, he didn't mind it that badly. x3 But yeah, if you feel like doing events for him, I'd be interested. ;D Well, in this event you made it very clear. I'll admit I was also in that group who thought he wasn't as crazy. Glad to have been proved wrong though, makes things more interesting. ^^ A joint event? That could've been pretty cool. Although slightly problematic if you're wooing both of them. xD I am sorry you lost your dialogue, but I'm happy with how it worked out. Reed needed the spotlight, at least in his own events.



Agreed. I'm sure they'd keep to themselves for the most part, even if they did cross paths. I also agree, it makes the characters more real when you consider their opinions of others.

The airplanes that fly near the settlement, what are those for? That sounds great. Hold on, so the guest character that arrives in the new game is only there temporarily? Or can you make him stay if you befriend him enough? Not sure how I feel about him leaving the settlement for good. Especially if officially I ship him with Dolly. x3 Wait, you don't mean...? Ghost is the guest character? :O

I know, his love is too strong for him to get over. But isn't there someway for him to at least get better, or find something else to focus on? I'm sure Sparrow wouldn't be happy about that, but I could see her accepting it, at least so she could be his friend.

Yeah. I certainly don't blame people for running out of ideas, I just wish they wouldn't try to squeeze it for all its worth after getting to that point.

Good. I'm already excited enough for this new game and its sequel, and still working on stuff for this one. Anything past that would be overkill, I wouldn't be able to take any more. xD But yeah, it'd make a great future project.

Well I guess the poll doesn't tell us anything on that, huh? I have a feeling that much like Shara, the more normal ones get outshined in places with people like this. I still like him though. Personally I'd enjoy his company, especially after spending time with the rest of the settlement. I also hope more people will like him.

It had such great values. Only, I often felt like Josh got the short end of the stick. I always felt bad for him for that. But yeah, in the end everything turned out okay for both of them, so that was all that mattered. ^^

Wow, I had no idea anyone could possibly be worse than Shiloh. At least to you, Googsie. I'd like to say that you may like him the more you work on him, but that didn't happen with Shiloh so...^^; Oh, so this is the idiot guy. I see why you feel that way about him. xD You know, I'm really surprised you chose to make the DSC bachelor like this, since you were so looking forward to having one and everything. Personally, I don't like him either, but I'm holding out the hope that he gets better. :3 Also, I'm curious, are these servants of his going to be counted as villagers with their own requests and such, or just sub-villagers?

Hmm, I'd also like to make a suggestion for this rival girl. :3 I agree with Magic, she needs to be someone who won't take his « Puppy Doodoo » about anyone being bought and would give him a piece of her mind. But I also imagine her as the kind of girl who never turns her back on someone in need, and puts others before herself. Someone who lives on her own and would never let it show when she was struggling. That way, even though she's the one changing him, he could help her with something as well. A self-concerned guy like him could teach someone who doesn't know how to think about her own well-being to start taking herself into consideration more often. And once he's fallen for her, he could dedicate all his time to her, since he's not invested in much else, and she wouldn't be lonely anymore. /probably sounds like such a desperate romantic
If this change is too OOC, I understand. ^^; Of course, this would all be very far into the relationship. I imagine that in the start he'd treat her like trash, she'd stand up to herself and make an impression on him, and then he'd go out of his way to pick on her and try to find a way to buy her. Oh, and maybe she could be pretty poor so he'd be even more confused with why she can't be bought. Anyway, these are all just ideas.

True. Eh I'm having trouble with him. He is such a hard character for me to work with. His personality is so creepy XP. Plus he is so easy to cliche. It is troublesome to have him fall in love without it coming off as super stereotypical. I'll try to do something though. I was planning on having there be a different event that happens if you woo the other guy where he mentions that day.

Yeah. It wouldn't make any sense for characters to think absolutely nothing of the other people who live in the settlement. Unless you're Feathers that is.

So far I am very happy with most of the couples. There are a few I'm not too pleased with but oh well. I never like all of my characters anyways XD. Thanks Sorbet. I really dislike that guy now. You're right. That exactly what I've always wanted in an RF game. I can't wait to make rival children for all my couples. So excited X3. And no problem. Some airplanes drop off supplies from the rebel groups, some are for new banished people, and some are just going over the wasteland to get to other places. But there are airships that come around every so often. Well the guest character is there for a visit. But the visit lasts for as long as you play the game XD. Nope, it's not Ghost. But it is a marriage candidate. Although he is not marriageable in this new idea.

I'll think of something. I want him to get better too v.v.

Ya me and Shiloh do not go together. But I do hate him more >:C. Well so many of the DSC characters are so nice. Some of them need to be rich and act like it DX. Plus he's not real so why make myself want this game to be real even more than I already do XD? Only one is a real villager. The rest are just sub-villagers.

I think that him wanting to buy someone is a great idea. But he already does that with another character so I'm not sure if he should do it twice. Although that is such a big part of his personality so maybe. But strong willed people do not please him. It just doesn't seem in Dante's character to fall for someone who challenges him at every turn. He might respect her, but never love. Truthfully he probably wouldn't even respect her ':D. Dante is a real brat. It just doesn't seem like him to be able to let someone get to him in that way. The best way to get to Dante is to be something he's never seen before. And when you're as rich and well traveled as him that's hard to do. There have been some people that challenged him before so this girl would have to be really different somehow in order to have any affect on him. That's why he can come to like the MCs. Because he thinks the MCs are idiots but they are also very entertaining. Which he appreciates.

She is challenged on how she will deal with such a serious situation on her own until a young man named Rafael she met, and they together will stop the Cerulean Flamed hexyz from bringing destruction to Berge. *shot* she won't get it gents. That sounds very difficult to work with. Maybe... Maybe you might think about toning him down..? 'xD
But, I dunno... A lot of guys seem to like a challenge, and if he thinks he can't have a girl like her, then maybethat would drive him harder to get her.
And then, along the way, he'd learn that the only way he could ever have such a wonderful lady friend, was if he softened up and acted less self serving. vuv

Ya, it is pretty lame how I came to be trapped in this situation with Dante XD. When I first planed this game it was gonna be like all my others. Female MC only and no rivals. After I made a few bachelors I started working on the villagers. Three were young single females. So I had the idea to make it like RF2. Where the some of the bachelors had rivals, but not all. I started to feel bad that the girls weren't marriageable so I was like "Hey, I'll just tweak it so you can play as a male if you want. And then I'll make it so all the guys have rivals that way there will be an even amount of bachelors/bachelorettes. Good thinking self :B". So After making more guys/gals I ended up with everyone, even the newer characters having rivals. Except for him >:C. Dante was one of the guys who originally wasn't supposed to have a rival. I realized (too late) that I made him just so that it is believable that he could fall for the MC. But I didn't consider him having to fall for anyone else. That's why it's so hard for me to pair him with some other girl. Because his personality is just so picky and hard to please. I feel like pairing him with anyone outside of those few qualities he likes would just be going against the character I made him to be v.v.

But I have a plan. Actually three plans. Not sure which one I'm gonna use yet :/. (You don't have to read the plans if you don't want. Typing it out just helps me organize my thoughts.)

Plan A:
I could keep Dante exactly the same and just make him a normal villager. Then he wouldn't need a rival. So that's really good. But then I'd need to make a totally new guy. And there would be no DSC bachelor. So that's kind of a bummer.

Plan B:
I could change Dante in someway so he is more compatible. This one is hard cause I wouldn't know where to begin. Plus he could end up boring/flat or inconsistent personality wise if I make a poor change.

Plan C:
I could use a method for couples that I avoid as much as possible. And that is: when you're too lazy or uncreative to make a real reason you just say they already know each other well so they don't have to waste time starting as strangers/acquaintances and building up a relationship from scratch. It seems like such an easy way out that people use just so they can get to the romance faster. That's why I avoid using it as much as I can.. So I could just make Dante's rival be someone he already likes so I wouldn't need to bother working on a reason for why they get together XD.

Ooooor I could do none of that and just keep trying to come up with a rival. At this point I am considering plan A the most. So while trying to think of a rival I'll also try and come up with a whole new guy. Just to be safe.

Well, if you're going with Plan A, it would be a huge bummer not to have a DSC guy, and I've kinda always wanted to see a DSC guy. >A<
So, maybe... Maybe you could make Dante a bit older, and make him the father of a guy that could be a DSC bachelor? :\
Or something... Just a suggestion..
Or maybe he could be an older brother, like Evelyn (almost called her Eliza)..
That is, unless you don't already have an idea.

Uh, for Plan B... I don't really have any ideas for how to change him right now.
THe only thing I'd be able to come up with, is to tone everything about him down just a bit, but like you said, that might make him plain and boring.

For Plan C, well...
